The industry’s first batch download interface, IVANS Download, delivers policy-related information from insurers’ systems directly into independent insurance agents’ management system workflows, ensuring agent access to current, accurate information is instantly available throughout underwriting and servicing.
20+ insurers work together to establish a network that is the central exchange for conducting business in the insurance industry electronically. Insurance Value Added Network Services (IVANS) is born.
A Single Exchange for Connectivity
The industry’s first system for converting ACORD XML files to and from ACORD AL3 files in real time, IVANS Real-Time, developed from single entry multiple insurer interface, empowers independent insurance agents to submit policy-related information to multiple insurers via batch upload.

ACORD, the organization that establishes and enforces data standards for the U.S. insurance industry, recognizes IVANS with "Download Vendor of the Year" award for its outstanding achievement in ACORD implementation. IVANS continued to be recognized with this award for the next 20 years.

New Leadership
In 2013, Applied acquires IVANS and Reid French becomes the company’s new CEO and expands IVANS’ product vision to focus on digital connectivity between every stakeholder in the insurance lifecycle – agents,

In 2009, eDocs and Messages download (formerly Activity Notes) automates the exchange of policy documentation – declaration pages, cancellation notices and payment information – from insurers’ systems to agencies’ management systems, providing a secure and managed alternative to email, mail and faxes.
ACORD presents the first ever "Upload Vendor of the Year" award to IVANS for having the most total upload implementations during the year. IVANS went on to win this prestigious honor for the next 13 years.

The industry’s first Commercial Lines upload and download using ACORD AL3, ensuring policy data is always up to date and increasing policy writing efficiency by enabling agents to receive download from multiple insurers and MGAs from a single data connection.

IVANS delivers Claims download, enabling insurers to send detailed claims information directly to agencies to keep agents up to date with the claim adjustment and settlement processes.

The industry’s first online market search tool, IVANS Market Appetite, immediately presents agents with a list of insurers, MGAs, and wholesalers with an appetite for their client’s commercial risk, reducing dependency on time-consuming, manual steps traditionally used to find markets.

Another industry-first, IVANS Index provides insight on the latest trends for premium rate renewal change of the most placed commercial lines of business.
