SUMMARY
FAIR: EIMA
Do you remember...? Chronology 1890 – 2017
Created in 1969, EIMA International is organised by FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation, particularly by its service division, (FederUnacoma Surl), in collaboration with BolognaFiere, one of the most renowned exhibition centres worldwide. The show has an exhibition area of 375,000 m², in which more than 50,000 models of machinery are displayed every two years by 1,900 companies from forty countries. This fair includes four specialised salons: EIMA Components, EIMA Green, EIMA Energy and EIMA M.i.A. , one for each specialised sector. Mr. Kimata, President and Representative Director of Kubota Corporation, visited the Kubota stand during his visit to the fair. EIMA constitutes the perfect showcase for Kubota to make its products known in southern Europe. For that reason, our company couldn’t miss the chance to attend this important event and bring our avant-garde products and customer-tailored solutions to our clients. It was a great opportunity for visitors to discover our latest developments and to see first hand all our products and get all the information from our product managers. There was also a Kubota shop in which some merchandising items and Kubota clothing were available.

Farmers want to improve their productivity, but not at any cost. With Kubota Finance, they can make their planned investment with ease, convenience, and safety. Whether financing or leasing, producers benefit from professional advice and attractive conditions. Kubota Farm Solutions is all they need to gain the advantages of a technology that drives their success forward. Whether they need machines or services, they have full control of the costs.
You know what it takes to be commercially successful: top performance with every task and top conditions over many years. Once again, Kubota offers solutions that fulfil what they promise. Every Kubota tractor is already protected by a 3-year manufacturer warranty right from the start. The warranty can be extended to protect the value of each investment, avoid expensive downtimes, and remain profitable over the long term.
Farmers know exactly how they want to get their work done: efficiently, precisely, and most comfortably. Kubota gives them everything they need to obtain optimal results while remaining at ease. With our ISOBUS technology, precision farming solutions, and automatic steering system, workers can apply seeds, fertilisers, and pesticides with extreme precision. This lowers their costs and reduces their workload.
Farmers want full control over what they are doing. Kubota provides them with perfectly integrated systems to help them achieve that. From machine optimisation to implement monitoring, workers can control the tractor and resources easily from a single terminal. This not only provides them with a better overview of all work processes, but also allows them to work without stress.
Farmers have a clear objective: to get their work done productively and successfully while being relaxed. Kubota offers workers the equipment that can best support them in this endeavour. Whichever tractor or implements they decide on, they can always count on proven quality, excellent performance, and co-ordinated features. In short: intelligent and reliable technology that gets them a decisive step closer to their goal.

We understand that farmers need more than a powerful tractor to succeed: namely, an integrated system of products and services to increase their competitiveness and preparation for the future. With Kubota Farm Solutions, we have brought together our solutions in a system— and targeted our proposition to them. From intelligent technology to individual services, the Kubota Farm Solutions advantages complement each other, forming a circle that ends where it begins: with our commitment to support farmers a little better every time, now and in the future.
At every agricultural show, Kubota has proudly shown its brand new stand that embodies the Kubota Farm Solutions essence at its best. Kubota Farm Solutions is one of Kubota’s milestones, and we want it to be present in every product we launch at every fair we attend.
Kubota Farm Solutions: 360° performance for 100% success
MGX-IV Series
The MGX-IV range offers high performance, fuel economy and reliability, which represents the core values of all our products.
It constitutes a further step towards excellence for Kubota and a much easier way for farmers to work. Its dual engine speed memory switch allows to save two frequently used engine speeds, so there’s no need to reduce the engine speed at the end of the field. This intuitive transmission allows shifting up to 8 gears without the need to operate the clutch pedal. So users can simply find the ratio that is best suited to the work being carried out. The MGX IV tractors’ hydraulic capacities enable even greater productivity as they give them the ability to work with heavy implements. Plus, these tractors are equipped with 2 hydraulic valves as standard and can be fitted with up to 4 optional ones, and a high-flow hydraulic pump. These tractors are exceptionally manoeuvrable, which makes them as comfortable turning at headlands as they are manoeuvring in narrow building areas. This is possible thanks to their integrated system that automatically disengages the 4WD mode via a sensor placed on the steering that detects when the turning radius is less in 2WD.
Successor of two successful models, M6060 and M7060, this range includes two new cab and ROPS models: M4062 and M4072. The second one features a wider and more comfortable cab, apart from greater visibility, clutch off switch, and PTO gear shift. But its advantages are not limited to comfort, it also includes a Dual speed transmission (only available for the M4072 model) and short front axle, which allows this tractor to adapt to special crops. With an increased lift capacity and hydraulic performance, this tractor is highly effective and specially designed to ensure user comfort and ease of use.

New TERRISSON & Fils dealership opened in France
On October 12 and 13, the inauguration of the new Terrisson & Fils dealership took place in the village of Saint-Amans, located in the South of France.
The French company not only sells our tractors, it also repairs and rents them to users throughout the departments of la Lozère, Gard, l'Hérault, l'Aveyron, Cantal, la Haute-Loire, and l'Ardèche.
Terrisson was created in 1881 by Jean-Pierre Terrisson as a family owned company, and for many years, it has passed from one generation to the next. In 1995, Hubert Terrisson created a company along with his sons under the name TERRISSON & Fils. In 2008, it became a Kubota dealership, and started distributing our products. Today, we are happy to celebrate the opening of a new dealership that will help the brand’s growth in France.

The last weekend of August is traditionally the date for the “Rottalschau”, one of the largest agricultural outdoor trade fairs in Bavaria. With more than 70,000 m² of open-air ground and 6,000 m² of hall space, this show is held at the same time as the Karpfhamer Fest, a centuries-old horse fair. This year's edition of the “Rottalschau” exhibition took place from August 28 to September 3, welcoming around 600 exhibitors both from Germany and neighbour countries. This year, we had the opportunity to show our new trailer-based stand concept for the first time in Germany. The stand was a great success and visitors were really surprised by it. In fact, we were able to make our products known, and attract the interest of both farmers and entrepreneurs. As a dealer community, we showed almost our entire product portfolio, from compact tractors to agricultural tractors, as well as our well-known Kubota Implements.

This year, Kubota presented its latest developments at the annually Mela Mühlengeez fair, held in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Mela Mühlengeez is a traditional fair held in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Kubota could display its compact tractors and as well as the state-of-the-art Kubota implements at a joint dealer booth. Our sales consultants took the chance to inform interested visitors about the advantages and uses of our recently launched products.

In July of this year we were able to carry out an "arable" photo shoot together with the Tractor Business Unit and our dealer Kleine GmbH. We had many new and existing tractor models and Kubota implements in front of the lens. Despite the bad weather at the beginning of the week great pictures and videos were created. The results can be seen in the new KFS brochures.

New dealerships in Kubota Spain
Kubota’s dealership network is constantly growing. This summer, three new dealerships have joined the network with enthusiasm and trust in the Kubota brand. In this way, Kubota continues on its quest to expand, by offering farmers our whole range of products, which are more and more affordable and customised for all our clients. The two dealerships are: Agrícola Antón: Founded in 1980, Agrícola Antón is a leading company in the agricultural sector dedicated to the commercialisation of agricultural machinery. Its long history validates this company, as well as the direct contact with its clients. This Company is composed by highly qualified professionals that respond quickly to the customer’s demands, providing a personalised and unique service. It will be the Kubota dealership for the provinces of Salamanca and the South of Zamora. This Company has facilities in Salamanca, Tarazona de Guareña and Tordesillas. Plus, it constitutes the most important dealership of the Kverneland in Spain and has reached 25% of its annual turnover. Agromotor Gomariz: This company started operations in the 60’s and since then its activities have focused on fitting and repairing commercial vehicles, always keeping in mind the values established by its founder: honesty and transparency with customers. Talleres Gomariz S.A. was established as a company in December 1987, continuing on with the activities developed by the original repair shop. In 2003, it started operating as a repair shop of the Renault network in the R2 position, and its geographic area was broadened as the company accepted the challenge of representing Renault Trucks in Albacete. This initiative has been organised along with the company Albamur Gomariz S.L., 100% owned by Talleres Gomariz S.A. Other services have been added to the old ones, such as the rental and trade of commercial vehicles. In order to cover these activities, the group established GO V.I. Levante S.L. in 2016, also owned by Talleres Gomariz S.A. Throughout its history, the company has equipped itself with the necessary resources, both human and material. Talleres Gomariz will offer its services as an official Kubota dealership in the province of Albacete and in the North and East of Murcia.
The Precision Farming Center project, launched in cooperation with our distributor in Poland and its dealer, Polsad Jacek Korczak, was inaugurated on Oct 17th. The Agricultural School and Practical Training Center opened in Kaczki Średnie has become the first European educational facility equipped with precision farming teaching tools from Kubota. Our Mechatronics Department has prepared a range of tools and accessories to be used by pupils in Kaczki Średnie. This includes models of implements, ISOBUS simulators and universal K-Monitor terminals. Thanks to this project, the school in Kaczki Średnie offers the most modern and best equipped precision farming teaching facility in Poland. “In order to succeed, farmers in near future will require much more than just a reliable tractor. At present, the Kubota brand offers implements and management systems that communicate with the tractor increasing the effectiveness of all resources, such as seeding material, fertilizers, and pesticides. Cooperation with the agricultural school in Kaczki Średnie within the realm of the Precision Farming Center perfectly complements our ambition of being widely recognized as the provider of complete solutions for agriculture. This is the reason why we consider this as a key project for us”, says Andrzej Sosiński, marketing manager at Kubota. This new Precision Farming Center will support the education of competent and future-proof farming machinery specialists that will be given a perfect overview of most up-to-date farming technologies. Owing to this, graduates of the Agricultural school in Kaczki Średnie will enjoy a better position on the labor market, especially in the realm of agriculture – both in Poland and abroad. The launching ceremony on the 17th of October was attended by local authorities as well as representatives of various business fields. This included the Head of Konfederacja Lewiatan, an entrepreneurial association that aims to introduce good business practices in various fields, Association of Automotive and Industrial Employers, Your Future In – the first Skills Hub recognized by the government of Scotland and the Centre for Innovative Education.

Zafra Show
Once again, Kubota has displayed its whole range at the International Livestock Show of Granada, along with the Trasur dealership, held from September 27 to October 3 in Zafra, Badajoz. The International Livestock Fair of Zafra, known for displaying and selling bovine, porcine, sheep, goats and equidae livestock celebrates its 565th edition. The main purpose of this show has always been the exchange of livestock, but in the last few years it has also become a good opportunity for the agricultural machinery sector. For that reason, Kubota’s presence was key at this event, since our company could display its products and developments. Among the product range displayed at the show, the M5111 Utility Narrow with its Kubota loader stood out for its features and versatility in the livestock sector. This model is available in several versions, which makes it ideal for mixed crops.

From 4 to 6 September 2018, Kubota could display some of its most successful products at Innov-Agri, the leading "open field" agricultural show held in Outarville (France). After a modest 2016 edition, Innov-Agri, closed its 17th edition with a real note of optimism and a 4% increase of visitors compared to 2016. On average, the fair welcomed 75,000 visitors within 3 years. Since 1989, the France Agricole Group organises an outdoor event whose main goal is to bring operators and suppliers together to try the agricultural machines and implements in real working conditions. This event constitutes the perfect framework for farmers, breeders, and entrepreneurs to learn about the latest products, techniques, and trends in the agricultural market. Hence, Kubota took the opportunity to show some of its innovative products, such as the M4 series, the renewed MGXIV models, and the M6121. In the end, a total of 15 machines were shown in a stand of 6,000 square metres, and 6 tractors showed their excellent performance and ground care. Leaving quantity aside, it was above all the quality of the trade visitors that was highlighted by a majority of exhibitors. They were particularly interested in discovering the immense diversity of the offer: agricultural machinery and equipment, accessories, digital agriculture, and Kubota’s products received a very positive response from the professionals.

The 27th edition of the French “Sommet de l’Élevage” (breeding summit) show took place from the 2nd to the 5th of October 2018. This three-day event is meant to display the agricultural products, techniques and developments available in the market, as well as live demonstrations and conferences on the topical subjects of the industry. As could not be otherwise, Kubota was there to show its developments and products, namely the M4 range, at a stand stand with a surface area of 1000 m². A total of 15 machines were displayed during this edition of the Sommet de l’Élevage. All the visitors to the Kubota stand had the opportunity to appreciate the advantages of some of Kubota’s models, such as the M4072. This year’s edition of the Sommet de l’Élevage show welcomed around 1,500 exhibitors, with a total of 2,000 animals displayed and a myriad of agricultural machines and implements. As Jacques Chazalet, President of the exhibition, stated: "With 95,000 visitors in 2018, we are still on the same trend as last year, which is good news given the difficult drought context we are currently experiencing". Three political figures attended the event, as it is tradition, which was greatly appreciated by the organisers. The Turkish Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli, attended the show accompanied by Jacques Mezard, French Minister for Territorial Cohesion, and of course, the French Minister of Agriculture, Stéphane Travers. Their presence at the fair was a "proof that SUMMIT is participating in the development of livestock farming on an international scale," said Fabrice Berthon, General Commissioner of the show.

On October this year, Kubota celebrated a Rugby evening along with Cévennes Motoculture, and invited some of its customers to enjoy the Narbonne - Nîmes match at the Nicolas Kaufmann Stadium in Nîmes. Cévennes Motoculture is one of our major AG & EV distributors present in four French departments (Gars, Hérault, Aude, and Pyrénées Orientales). It is a company specialising in repairing agricultural machinery, public works, and green areas. The company distributes tractors, mowers, and compact excavators, among others. It also provides aftermarket services and a large stock of spare parts. The Cévennes Motoculture establishments organised a VIP "Rugby" private event that began with a welcome aperitif followed by a dinner. 27 guests were able to enjoy an exciting match accompanied by the Cévennes team, which was one of the sponsors of the event. The event constituted the perfect opportunity to introduce the fans of both teams to the Kubota machines, which were displayed at the stadium entrance. The victory of Nîmes (25-23) was then celebrated with a friendly post-game drink.
Terrisson & Fils, Kubota’s agricultural distributor based in Lozère (southern France), celebrated the inauguration of its new shop located in Saint-Amans with various events held on October 11, 12, and 13. In addition to presenting the brand’s new facilities, the event was also meant to celebrate the 10-year partnership with Kubota. The celebration was divided into three different events held on three consecutive days. On Thursday 11th, the schools in the region were invited to discover the Kubota universe through several workshops. On that day, the brand, its agricultural range, and its precision farming products were introduced to the attendees by the different Kubota teams that were present on the site of the event. Friday 12 was the day dedicated to customers who were able to enjoy the new shop and an evening around a regional meal. Finally, on Saturday 13, there was an open day at the shop and everyone was invited to come inside and take a look at our newest products.

Japan’s National Day
Kubota attended the event represented by Germán Martínez, who highlighted the core values of our brand. “Under the motto, ‘For Earth, For Life’ Kubota ensures the best Japanese quality and the protection of the environment through the best technology dedicated to farmers around the world” said the President of Kubota Spain. This year, Spain and Japan are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries. Throughout the year, the Japanese Embassy has organised a series of events and cultural activities in which many companies, such as Kubota, have participated. This time, the event was intended to pay homage to Japan’s Emperor Akihito, on the occasion of his upcoming birthday.

This celebration constituted a great opportunity for our company to make the Japanese values known through our products and business philosophy. Around 600 prominent personalities attended the event in which the M7002 KVT tractor was exhibited at the main entrance of the Embassy. “The Kubota Brand has been consolidating little by little, day by day, by combining Japanese culture with the company’s core values. We have a long journey ahead of ourselves, but we believe that Kubota has to be represented at a high level at all times” – said Germán Martínez – “we are proud to celebrate the commercial relations between Spain and Japan, and we expect to continue to see great results, due to the fact that there is no added value without brand representation. There’s still work to do, but as we always say ‘you harvest what you plant’.”
