1. The Competition is open to English language teachers and tutors over the age of eighteen (18).
2. All entries must be in English.
3. Only one entry per person ("Entrant") will be accepted.
4. In order to enter the Competition, you will need to upload a video to YouTube (and send us the link via the Typeform survey) that is between 90 seconds and two (2) minutes in length and no more than 10MB, telling us what you love about English language teaching and showing us how you teach English to non-native speakers ("Video Clip").
5. For privacy reasons, no individual other than the Entrant should be seen or heard in the Video Clip.
6. The Competition opens on 10th August 2020 10:00 BST and closes on 21st September 2020 23:59 BST ("the Competition Period").
7. Entries received before commencement of or after the expiry of the Competition Period will not be considered.
8. At the conclusion of the Competition Period, a panel of judges appointed by Cambridge (including at least one independent judge not employed by Cambridge) will select four (4) winners.
9. The Video Clips will be judged based on the Entrant’s ability to create a fun and effective learning experience in the space of two minutes.
10. Competition winners will be notified via email after 21st September 2020.
11. The Competition Winners will be announced on:

12. The Competition Winners will each be offered a 12 month video production agreement with Cambridge ("Contract").
13. Under the Contract:
a. Competition Winners will be required to create:
i. One (1) video introducing themselves to Cambridge’s followers on the Learn English with Cambridge YouTube page.
ii. Twelve (12) videos between two and 10 minutes long teaching a topic or theme to learners of English as a second language (one per month), together with a separate short (approximately 10 second) introductory video filmed on a smartphone introducing themselves and the topic of the main video. Each main video and introductory video is referred to below as a ‘Teaching Clip.’
b. Cambridge will provide Competition Winners with a laptop with editing software, and lighting equipment for 12 months, for the purpose of filming the Teaching Clips.
c. The Competition Winners agree to work with Cambridge to ensure that the Teaching Clips are edited and produced to a high standard.
d. Competition Winners will grant Cambridge an exclusive licence to publish the Teaching Clips.
e. Cambridge shall have sole discretion whether to approve the Teaching Clips for publication.
f. The Teaching Clips will be published on the Learn English with Cambridge YouTube page (the YouTube Channel).
g. For each Teaching Clip published by Cambridge on the YouTube Channel, the Competition Winner will receive £200 (if the Competition Winner is based outside the UK, arrangements can be made to pay the equivalent in local currency). The expectation is that each Competition Winner will publish thirteen Teaching Clips over the course of the year.
h. The Competition Winner agrees to notify Cambridge of any plans to publish English Language Teaching video content outside the Youtube Channel.
14. For the avoidance of doubt, entering the Contract does not create an employment relationship with Cambridge.
15. Competition Winners agree to attend a full day’s training run by Cambridge (dates TBC, but winners will be given at least one months’ notice).
16. If a Competition Winner does not sign the Contract within 1 month of receiving it, Cambridge reserves the right to offer the prize to another Entrant.
17. The Video Clip and all material and information provided by the Entrants to Cambridge shall collectively be referred to as the Entry Materials.
18. The Entrant hereby warrants to Cambridge that:
(i) The Entrant has the right to enter this Competition;
(ii) The Entry Materials shall be true and accurate and to the best of the Entrant’s knowledge will not contain any libellous, obscene, unlawful or otherwise objectionable material;
(ii) The Entry Materials shall be entirely original to the entrant and have not already been published in whole or in part in any form;
(iii) the Entry Materials shall contain nothing that is in any way an infringement of any existing copyright or licence or other intellectual property rights of any third-party; and
(iv) the Entry Materials contain nothing that in any way breaches a duty of confidentiality or discloses any private or personal information of any person.
19. The Entrant hereby grants Cambridge an exclusive licence to publish the Entry Materials on its Social Media Channels.
20. By entering this Competition you agree, if selected as a Competition Winner, to participate in all related publicity as may reasonably be requested by Cambridge, including but not limited to: press, print and online publicity (which will include publication of your name and may include a photograph of you).
21. Cambridge will not release your personal information to others without your prior consent, and will only use your personal data as outlined in Cambridge’s privacy policy (http://www.cambridge.org/about-us/legal-notices/privacy-policy/).
22. Entrants have a right to request a copy of the personal information which Cambridge holds about them. To do so, please write to us at: Legal and Business Affairs, Cambridge University Press, University Printing House, Shaftesbury Road, Cambridge, CB2 8BS.
23. The Competition is run by Cambridge and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administrated by or associated with the Social Media Channels.
24. The Competition is not open to employees of Cambridge, their agents or contractors and anyone else connected with the Competition.
25. If there is a conflict between these terms and conditions and any other terms whatsoever attached to any other advertising material in respect of the Competition, these terms and conditions will apply.
26. The Competition and these terms and conditions (including any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of them) are subject to English law and any disputes or claims must be referred to English courts.
