As a Colorado Public Employee retiree, you have a choice for dental plans. Learn more about the Cigna DPPO Advantage and the Cigna DHMO plans below.
The Cigna DHMO offers a good mix of value, with a rich set of benefits, no annual dollar maximum on covered services, no annual deductible and lower premiums than the Cigna DPPO.
Dental Plan Options
You must use a dentist in the Cigna DHMO Access network in order for care to be covered. Your costs for covered services are the same regardless of which Access \network dentist you choose for care. You can view costs for hundreds of procedures on your myCigna account or by reviewing your Patient Charge Schedule (PCS) which is sent to you when benefits become active.

The Cigna DPPO Advantage plan offers maximum flexibility with the option to use any dentist for care. If you are looking for ways to save on dental services, you can choose a Cigna Advantage DPPO provider since they have agreed to offer Cigna customers a discount on services.

The Cigna Dental PPO (DPPO) Advantage Plan
You must use a Cigna Advantage DPPO network dentist for care to be considered "in-network." Your costs for covered services can vary depending on which dentist you choose for care. When you use an Advantage DPPO network dentist, you cannot be balance-billed for the difference between the dentist's usual fees and the fee they have contracted with Cigna. Dentists who do not participate in the Advantage DPPO network can balance-bill which can result in higher costs to you.

How to Find a Network Dentist
You'll be able to search for dentists that participate in your plan's specific network. You can view costs for hundreds of procedures - specific to your plan, and specific to the dentist you may be considering. You can check claims, review coverages, get ID card information and see where you stand with any plan deductibles or annual dollar maximums. DPPO Advantage customers who use myCigna to search for dentists save, on average, 36.2% more than those who do not use myCigna.

DHMO dentists can choose their Network General Dentist (NGD), change their NGD and get information about their fees on their Patient Charge Schedule (PCS).
