Name: Macie Mata, 27, Founder of Maze Services Samonica Ngo, 25, Co-founder Place: Charlotte, NC
Path to Success: Macie and Samonica both traveled all over the U.S. and Canada in search of their next move. Macie, originally from outside Chicago, had been in and out of jobs from finance to working at a start-up. Samonica, originally from Vancouver, began working at a hospital and in telecommunications for sometime. Both having the dream of being successful on their own one day. Some day, somehow. Years following their endless travels, Macie & Sam both moved back to Charlotte, met at a bar, and the rest is history. The Entrepenur Life: Macie & Sam came up with Maze when Macie pitched the idea to Sam. Now, Maze is in the ending phase of development and will be available in the app store near the end of 2018. This app features beauty services from haircare, nailcare and for any gender. You can book appointments in app and professionals come to you at your convenience. Coming up with Maze, short for amazing service, their motto is, "Get Particular, Get Pampered." Macie describes Maze as, "Brand on the inside, culture on the outside." They both are ambitious, self proclaimed gypsy spirits who aren't afraid to disrupt the beauty and tech industry with their charasmatic energy and innovative approach. Dedicating hours on end to produce a "flawless experience" for their customers. Both ladies know failure is not an option and that Maze is fixing a problem people can benefit from. The Tough Stuff: Being new in tech and dedicating their time to their dream hasn't been an easy task. They are best friends, and have to know the ends and outs of each others lives to relationships, finanaces, and where their time is being spent. They had to learn work life balance and when to let the other take on tasks when one is feeling burnt out. Sam describes it as, "Macie lights the fire, I just guide it."
If you believe in something, do it. Don't let other peoples opinion make you regret not pursuing your dreams. Everyone is unique, if we were all the same that would be lame.
It's not easy or glamorous to push yourself out of your comfort zone to find that spark inside of you but it is worth it to find your passion and do what you love.
It is hard working with your friends but knowing that business is business and you have a company to build, things change and you see each other as a support system.
Be fearless in the pursuit of executing your ideas and knowing that all the things you have done to get here are because of your hardwork and dedication. Slay on.
Let go of past failures, mistakes, hard times. The only way to grow is to be in the present and show up knowing you arebetter than yesterday. The past was a learning experience, move on.

Path to Success: Amanada started out with a dream of being a news reporter. Participating in pageants to pay for college, she won enough to pay her way to Catawba college. Out of college, she applied to hundreds of jobs and couldn't find her place in life. She went back to school and got a broadcasting degree at Carolina. Finally, landing a job at Radio Disney she had the opportunity to showcase her talents on the fly when the lead reporter didn't show and from then on she began working fulltime in that world. As time went on Amanda wanted more out of her life and realized the reporter life wasn't for her and wanted to help people. Amanada expresses, "Radio was fun and entertaining but it didn't serve a purpose for my life or a reason to wake up and thrive in, and have passion for." The Nonprofit Life: When Amanda was 12 she traveled to Nicaragua for the first time. So, she had always had a love for helping people and traveling the world to see how other people live. Graciously enough, her grandparents started World Missions Outreach in efforts of making a change and not just giving hand-outs, some 30 years ago now. Amanda took over the director of operations position for the organization and hasn't looked back since. WMO feeds 15,000 people a day. They also strive for life changing experiences for these people. With helping fund education, programs, resources and places to go to for their personal growth. "They learn to sew, speak English, garden, and create sustainable living with WMO." All the while Amanda gets no profit from her genorosity, and is okay with that. The Good Stuff: Amanda feels the most joy when she sees the longevity in the childrens lives and having the opportunity to see them grow and never having to say, "bye." Amanda has built relationships with people that are unbreakable and she has even been a maid of honor in one of her employees wedding. She has created a lasting bond through commmunity. She enjoys her life with WMO, and wants to eventually move to Nicaragua fulltime to carry-on her grandparents legacy of helping people and aiding with Nicaraguan poverty.

Style is who you are. When you step out in your best looking outfit you should feel like you can take on the world. Klutch knows people are different. Being stylish is a reflection of yourself and who you want to be that day. No one looks the same, feels the same, or even wears jeans the same anymore. Style has evolved so much that it is now acceptable to wear absolutely anything if you are confident enough to do so. The classic look doesn’t exist in these pages because we strive to focus on the individual in the clothes without breaking the bank. No one should feel like a label is what makes them fashionable. Although, we should all treat ourselves from time to time. Nothing is better than a little retail therapy. Style is represented in this issue by a selection of florals, jumpsuits, sneakers and hopefully things you can put in your closet and feel good in. Make the most of today and buy the shoes, wear those weird earrings, and by all means post it on Instagram. Go crazy with your style. Experience new prints. Wear that color that scares you. Wear the clothes that scare your Mom. Nothing is off limits in the world we live in. Style is fun, dig into these spring/summer ideas that can be worn at the beach, date night, out with friends or on a casual weekend.

Name: Hannah Durbin, 22 Place: Elon, NC
The Path to Self-Discovery: Hannah was diagnosed with anorexia at 16 years old. She had experienced a major loss in her life, her grandmother's passing, and was struggling with depression. She fell into her athletics to help her cope and help her not think about her problems. She became dependant on exercise, compulsively, and it led into restrictive eating, which is a deadly combo. When she was hospitalized her freshman year of college reality hit and she realized her body was at a breaking point. Her heart and liver were deteriorating, and her mental capabilities were struggling. Hannah has since recovered and is considered two years healthy. She now is an advocate for people who were like her who are struggling with self-image and anorexia. She has over 16,000 followers on Instagram and inspires people daily. Using Instagram at first as a tool for keeping herself on track she now sees telling her story helps other people. The Happy Stuff: Hannah now sees her platform as a way to not only help keep herself in a good place but to help other people become more comfortable in who they are. She helps people see the beauty in themselves by posting positive and inspiring things that are meant to express a HEALTHY and HAPPY, Hannah. Hannah says, "Vulnerability is a skill you aquire. It is tough but you become comfortable with it." She confesses she felt so alone on her journey because of all the false social media realities young women see today. She comments, "I want young women to feel better about themselves and have an "idol" who is relatable, raw, and human." Breaking down the barrier of influencers who are real people and have bad days is essential to connecting to people in a positive way. She adds, "Being content with your personal self is what matters."

HAVE A PLAN Before you enter the gym! Structure is crucial. 5 to 10 min warmup. 30 min strength training. 20 to 30 min cardio. It’s easier to know what you want to do before you arrive. GYM PARTNER Find someone that helps push you. Having them there for moral support is necessary. ASK QUESTIONS To Become more comfortable with equipment don't be afraid to ask. You won't learn unless you are taught how and it avoids injury. ADD REST DAYS If your body is tired on a Wednesday and you are so sore listen to your body. Cater to your needs and your body will not change within one 24 hour rest period. BEFORE Fast digesting carbs, protein. Ex: Fresh fruit(carbs), handful of nuts. AFTER Carbs, lipids, proteins-to repair muscle fibers that have been broken down. Ex: Whole wheat toast, avocado and egg. Omelete or fruit.
Place forearms on the ground and legs out behind you. Make sure to engage core and not let your butt be too low or high. Your body should be parallel to the ground.
Begin with your body parallel to the ground with arms extended. With your elbows close to your body, lower yourself until you are 3 inches from the ground and press. Variation: Place your knees on the ground and extend your body out in push-up position.
sec. each side
In a seated position, lift your back off the ground in a slight angle and lift each leg off the ground in a fluttering motion.
Begin with your body close to the bench. Swinging your arms with force and propelling yourself up to the bench and doing a deep squat, and extending into a standing position. Variation: Jumping squats in place.
Take a huge step forward with your right foot, creating a 90 degree angle with your leg. Repeat on the left side. This is great for those glutes.
Crouching down, plant hands in front of you extending one leg to the side and leaning the oppsite way to stretch hamstrings. Repeat on the other side. Stretch arm across body and hook with opposite arm. Press hooked arm into your chest for a stretch in the shoulder and arms.
sec. each side
Start in plank position and alternate opposite hand to opposite shoulder. This is activating your shoulders and core in one motion. Make sure to think about using your shoulders here.
Start with one foot on the bench. Pushing through this leg to bring the opposite leg up and flexing your glutes at the top. Stepping down, and repeating the same motion on the other side. Variation: Walking leg kicks, taking steps and extending your leg out behind you. Alternating each leg.
Begin with your hands planted on the bench, extended, and legs out in front of you. Lower yourself as close to the bench as possible. Variation: Bend your knees and move your feet to the ground.
Do a 400 meter run to get that heart rate going and blood flowing to begin your workout. It's best to warm your body up for the high intensity sets we have to do in the workout. Variation: Run in place for 15 seconds.
Warm-up legs by starting with your left leg and your left hand stretched out. Stepping back and kicking up to touch your hand. This helps to warm-up your hamstrings and core.
Seated with one leg out, cross your opposite leg and reach your toes. If you cant reach your foot stretch as fas as possible in the direction of your foot. Repeat on the other side. Place arm behind head and using your opposite arm pull your elbow the opposite way. Repeat on the other side.
With your back directly on the ground, lift legs straight to create a 90 degree angle with you body and lowering your legs to 3 inches off the ground.

Just as we don’t compare apples and oranges, we cannot compare people to people. Being unique is your power! Embrace it. It’s easy to look at others and envy their aesthetic beauty, yet when we look at ourselves, we tend to only pick out the flaws and imperfections. Look at yourself the way you look at others. Be gentle with yourself and be proud of the qualities you possess. Photoshop, editing, lighting, and posing work wonders. Do not compare your life to another person’s highlight reel. Understand that someone else’s beauty does not detract from yours, and that your uniqueness and individualism is what sets you apart. There is enough beauty to go around, don't be afraid to celebrate the beauty of others while still celebrating your own.

It is never okay to harm someone-no matter how small the action may seem. often, survivors are met with dismissal or questions, or fear of getting someone in troube. This does not mean your experience is not valid.
Not even a little, in no way, form or fashion. People who harm others are making a choice. No matter what you were, doing, wearing or saying.
My role is to provide people with resources and options. I will not label you for it. I want people to feel comfortable and in control of their decisions.
Get enough sleep. Eat nutritious food. Exercise. Do positive self-talks. Do things that make you laugh, and feel love. Be around people who support you. Limit contact with people who don't.
There is no right, wrong, or normal way to feel, or heal after violence. Do what is right for you. Talk to a counselor, file a report, don't think about it. This is all up to you.
However someone defines their experience, I believe them. It is unconditional and genuine.
You survived, and you will survive everyday through the things that bring up your experience and people that don't understand. You are courageous for telling someone. You are still whole, and worthy of love.
Self-care is vital.
I believe you.
However you are responding is right for you.
I will support whatever choice you make.

Having fun with makeup is one of the most beautiful things women can take advantage of.
One minute you are a glamorous queen and the next your face is now a puddle in the middle of the dance floor.
Though, during the summer months it’s so hot that its nearly impossible to have makeup hold all day.
All the colors, formulas and pigments galore. It’s exciting to see your face come to life or slay a Nikkie Tutorials look.
But for all those natural girls, having on a bit of mascara, lipstick and blush can help you move mountains. Makeup is equally as fun as holding a puppy, with more effort.
So, Klutch is bringing a summer guide to making your face looking fresh, colorful, glowy and as unique as you are. Cute and sexy collide to definitely turn heads and heat up your routine.
