Throughout Outdoor Retailer Snow Show 2022, luminaries, activists, business leaders, athletes, retailers, designers, and dreamers stopped by the Daily booth for conversation. Here's what they had to say about themselves, the industry, and the planet.
Phebe Lahout and Danica Carey, marketing strategist and director at Seirus Innovation, and Alex Bailey, founder of Black Outside, find deep meaning in the outdoors and they are on a mission to share that joy. At the Show, Seirus created the Full Circle Movement booth, an inclusive community space where everyone could gather, meet, share, and feel welcome.

"It's basically an extended family after so many years," says Brian McMahan, owner of Brian's Boot and Shoe, of the vibe at Outdoor Retailer. Based in Sheridan, Wyoming, McMahan sees a wide range of customers—from cowboys, to climbers headed to nearby Cloud Peak, to tourists, and he carries a wide range of footwear to suit that varied customer base.
"Take your business seriously, but don't take yourself too seriously" is the advice SheFly Apparel co-founder and CEO Georgia Grace Edwards gives to other young, aspiring entrepreneurs in the outdoor industry.
