With this grip, the toe of the club will tend to point toward the skywhen the shaft is roughly parallel with the ground (left). If your grip looks like Nick’s ,you can correct those mistakes by taking the club back so that when it’s parallel to the ground, the shaft should be roughly parallel to your toe line.
MAKE SURE YOUR SWING PATH IS GOING A LITTLE OUT TO IN
DRILL
Brad’s drill is kind of the opposite of Alex’s, but you’ll still need those noodles to copy it. If you’re a side-cover player, set the noodles so one is two feet behind you inside the target line and another in front of the ball two feet to the outside of the target line. These noodles form a gate—kind of like goal posts—that you will swing through. In other words, the backswing post is the one that you’ll want to miss on the outside, and the through-swing post is the one you want your club to pass on the inside. With the noodles providing great feedback for the right swing, your shots should begin just to the left of your target line and fall gently back to the right. This baby cut shot shape is the product of a slight out-to-in path.
