Patricia Urquiola
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture and design at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Technical University of Madrid) and completed her studies at the Politecnico di Milano (Technical University of Milan) where graduated under the mentorship of Achille Castiglioni. In Spain, she was awarded the Golden Medal for Merits in Art and received the Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic.
In 2001 she founded her own studio where she specialised in industrial product design, architecture (hotel trade, retail, homes, exhibitions and installations), art direction and strategy consulting.
Patricia Urquiola has been the Creative Director of Cassina since 2015 and works with important design companies, including Moroso, Driade, Flos, GAN, Andreu World, Glas Italia, Kettal, Kvadrat and international groups such as Haworth, BMW, Boeing, Louis Vuitton, Missoni, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Four Seasons, Marriott Group, Starbucks, Ferrari and Swarovski.
Patricia Urquiola is part of the advisory board of the Politecnico of Milan university and the Triennale Milano Design Museum. She taught the master’s degree in Interior Design at the Domus Academy in Milan (2013-2015) and has given lectures at Harvard University, Michigan University, Shenkar School of Engineering and Design in Israel, at the Alvar Aalto Academy in Finland, at the State University and Bocconi University in Milan. She has been named Designer of the Year by Wallpaper, Elle Decor International, AD España and Architecktur und Wohnen among other magazines.
Mapi Millet
The current Creative Director of GAN became part of the Gandia Blasco team in 2004.
Specialized in interior design, she directed her own textile business for over 15 years. Production was always carried out in India, which gave her ample knowledge of the craftsmanship traditions of the country and its immense possibilities.
It was her experience with design trends, product development and production control that led her to propose her expansion project for Gandia Blasco's indoor brand, GAN.
Since her incorporation as GAN’s Creative Director in 2008, she has defined the trajectory of the brand. On the one hand, she selects the designers with whom to collaborate and develops new craft techniques to offer to them, thus strengthening the essence of the brand: craftsmanship at the service of first-class design. On the other hand, she introduced the concept of GAN SPACES, which evolve from a single rug, in line with its design, into multiple elements, modular systems, and accessories that define complete spaces in which to live.
A tireless traveler, she is convinced that handmade products add quality to our lives and support those who make them. She devotes a great deal of her time to researching the crafts of the world, developing new techniques and processes that will allow everyone, users and producers, to benefit from the soul of handmade objects.
Dr. Lutz Graumann
Currently the Quest Vitality Ceo/Co-Founder a data-driven personalized recommendations for training, fueling, recharging, and timing of everyday actions.
Since 1995 Lutz has been working with Armed Forces and Pro Athletes. Extreme climate, physical and mental conditions are some of the challenges he had to deal with on a day to day bases. One of his career highlights was the implementation of the human performance enhancement program for the fighter pilots of the new Eurofighter Typhoon.
Fighter Pilots were always a very special breed. And the new weapon system Eurofighter created a new challenge. For the first time in the history of the military the human was the weak link in a system worth more than 120 Mio USD,and the solution for this problem was adapted from pro sports. Atheltic trainers, Physios and Doctors were embedded in the squadron to create a perfect infrastructure for peak human performance.

The Future is Just Around the Corner
Companies around the globe are preparing for a return to the office. Most workers would prefer a hybrid work model: some days at the office, some days at home or maybe a day or two in third spaces. In the hybrid work model, individuals are the creators of their own workweek and they have been asking for this type of autonomy for years. The willingness of doing remote working depends on the office experience. Your office needs to prove its worth.

Look For The WELL
Health-Safety Seal
Our daily routines have changed significantly since the onset of COVID-19. Many people have spent significant periods working from their homes, and some people are continuing to do so on a part-time basis or full-time basis. This sudden, radical change caught many organisations unprepared, without adequate protocols and plans to maintain normal business operations.

Foster Resilence at Work Post-Pandemic
As we return to our offices after long periods at home – having lived with heightened exposure to trauma, grief, and uncertainty – it will be imperative to shape workplaces that will help us become more resilient so we can perform our best. Discover Haworth’s model for Resilience at Work and how we applied it in a recent study finding out key resources for knowledge workers. Unsurprisingly, these key resources differ whether working off-site, on-site, or a combination of the two. We’ll kick off discussion with some design implications and ways to approach preparing for the post-pandemic workforce.
