You’re going to need some calories as you spend your day traversing down the Seven Springs slopes. Tahoe Lodge tops the list and mountain home to soups and chilis to enjoy while taking in a 360º view of the fabled Laurel Highlands from the apex of the North Face area. Emo's Pit resides at the opposite end of the mountain – an outdoor BBQ grill where you can gobble up sausages, burgers, hot dogs and more right in front of the Ski Lodge. You can also find your preferred palate from slices at the Pizza Place to a “Yodler Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese” (and All-Day Breakfast!) inside The Bavarian Lounge. Fuel Up
Can't get enough of the hot cocoa!
They say all ski runs lead to après, that post-ski and snowboard institution where we kick up our boots and reflect on our day well ripping the runs. As a self-contained resort, Seven Springs is après ski heaven, starting at the 100-foot long bar at the Foggy Brews. Housing 50 taps and premier post-ski provisions such as poutine, crispy pickles, and cheese fondue. Seven-Ten Bistro adds a pretzel stick and a tater tots waffle sandwich to the mix, among salads, wings and “The Belly Stack,” pulled pork and prime brisket with all the fixings. Dinner options prove equally expansive, from dining on pan-roasted tenderloin paired with a Wine Spectator Award Winning wine list at Helen's to the seafood buffet, a tradition inside Slopeside. Pick your plate of choice, be it burgers, pizza or salads, and choose your seat.
Off-Piste Playground
Rare is the skier or snowboarder who takes the first chair to last run, especially during a multiday visit. As a family-run operation, the folks at Seven Springs understand this as well as anyone. The spectrum of off-piste activities here is one reason Seven Springs Mountain Resort is annually listed among the “Top Ten Ski Resorts” in the Eastern U.S. You can knock down some pins in the bowling alley or choose swimming lanes to practice your stroke. Twirl around the roller rink or test your skills in the Bear Trap Fun Zone with 60 diverse games from classic pinball to the latest video game.
Party On
Like après, nightlife at a ski resort carries a certain cache, a time to shed your ski togs and let loose within convenient walking distance of your lodging. Set up the babysitting service, if need be, and stroll into Seven Ten Bistro or Foggy Brews, then dance away to live music every weekend inside the Matterhorn Lounge.

Now I Lay Me Down to Well-Earned Sleep
There are Friends (& Family Too) on a Pow Day!
The snow is falling all over the Laurel Highlands, the slopes soft as down duvets and the 7Springs village aglow beneath fat flakes. There really is nothing like a powder day, a time to exaggerate your turns and pole plants after snapping shut your jacket’s powder skirt of course. Fresh natural snow treats every skier and snowboarder to the same delights, regardless of ability. Beginners bounce down Phillip’s Run or take it easy working on their traverse along Boomerang. Soft snow invites intermediates to make their first descent down Giant Steps Slope. Advanced skiers and riders carve fresh tracks down Goosebumps, looking back uphill to admire their lines, then draw tight turns through the Turtleneck Glades. Wherever we go when the snow comes, the whoops, hoots and hollers broaden our collective grin across the faces of 7Springs.
New snow seems to mystically embellish every element of a winter holiday. There may be no other moment that captures the romance of winter like tucking beneath a wool blanket for a trip into the forest behind a team of horses. The Belgian draft horses that pull us through the woods appear to revel in fresh snowfall as much as we do. They give their harnesses a shake, pick up their step as the cutters beneath our sleigh fall silent. Sledding takes on a different meaning when we mount a quiet 4-cylinder snowmobile and head out into the Laurel Highlands. Like skiing fresh powder, the snow flies around us and the excitement rises with our collective exhales along the trail. As with a horse-drawn sleigh, snowshoeing across a fresh field of snow allows us to experience a nostalgic pastime that remains an efficient mode of travel centuries later. Sure, the snowshoes themselves are much lighter and easier to negotiate with, but the magic of stepping across freshly fallen snow without making a sound or a dent hasn’t changed at all.
