Andy Kalbaugh is managing director and divisional president of National Sales and Consulting. He is responsible for the long-term growth, satisfaction, and retention of financial advisors and institutions.
Andy leads the business and functional strategy for National Sales and Consulting sales support teams across LPL’s retirement planning services, high-net-worth and private client solutions, financial planning insurance operations, and the Private Trust Company. Prior to being named managing director in 2011, he served as executive vice president, business consulting, for Independent Advisor Services, responsible for providing support to advisors and their practices. Andy has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He was previously president, chief executive officer, and chairman of American General Securities Incorporated, and served as director of the AIG Advisor Group. Andy is board president of Communities in Schools (CIS) of Charlotte-Mecklenburg, and serves on the board of directors of the Charlotte Chamber. Andy’s passion led him to start the Tees for Tuition Foundation to provide scholarships for well-deserving CIS graduating high school seniors. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and economics from the University of Maryland, and is FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 registered through LPL.

Meet Managing Director, Investor and Investment Solutions
Managing Director, Business Development
Burt leads the corporate strategy team responsible for facilitating the firm’s strategic direction and innovation work. In addition, he sets the vision for superior research capabilities, and oversees product and platform optimization, marketing support, data analytics, and growth initiative development. He is regularly sought after to speak to the national media—including CNBC, Fox Business, Bloomberg, and others. Prior to joining LPL in November 2007, Burt served as a managing director and director of research for Wachovia Securities for 10 years. Burt also was an investment analyst for Mercer Investment Consulting, where he provided investment advice to institutional clients. He started his financial services career on the buy side of the business as a research analyst for Thompson, Siegel, and Walmsley, a value-oriented asset manager. Burt received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the College of William & Mary, and is FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 65, and 87 registered through LPL.
As managing director of Investor and Investment Solutions, Burt White is responsible for fostering the development and evolution of LPL Financial’s capabilities to effectively deliver solutions to support advisor efficiency and growth.

Meet Managing Director and Divisional President, National Sales
In this role, Rich has responsibility for recruiting new financial advisors and institutions to LPL and to existing advisor practices, while also exploring new markets and M&A opportunities. He also leads the team responsible for onboarding new advisors to the firm. Prior to joining LPL Financial in 2018, Rich was the head of Digital Strategy and Platforms for UBS Wealth Management Americas. He joined UBS in 2012 as managing director and head of the Emerging Affluent Segment and the Wealth Advice Center. Prior to UBS, he held a variety of leadership roles at Merrill Lynch, including director of Strategy and Analytics and director of Business Development. He also spent six years at McKinsey and Company. Rich graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in economics in 1996. He received his masters from Stanford University in 2002.
