the tailor.

A properly tied tie isn't good enough if the collar is even a centimeter too small or big. Measure your own neck to always get the perfect fit.

Quick rule of thumb: A tie bar should never be the size of the width of the tie, rather, half of it. When that's cleared, clip it between your shirt's third and fourth buttons.

Never button more than the top on your blazer. When sitting down, always unbutton.

If you're piling too much fabric on your shoe, your trousers are too long. If they break a little, it's perfect. Too short may be treading in Thom Browne territory.

A simple way to see if your blazer is too long or too short is to cup the end of the fabric with one hand. If you cup too much fabric, it's too long, if you don't cup any at all, it's too short.
