So HashtagNYU — a digital brand curating and sharing the NYU story one tweet, video, and GIF at a time — met students where they were to celebrate NYU, shrink the psychological size of the University, and create a sense of belonging. Our content, aimed to delight students and add value to their journey, was created by students, for students.

What was HashtagNYU for you?

HashtagNYU: my 1st opportunity in college to explore my ideas freely, learn from my incredibly talented peers, and hone my media/ppl skills!

The place that pushed me to think concisely, effectively, and creatively — and the people who gave me pride, inspiration and community.

A learning experience that made me love NYU more than ever.

It was a creative community that brought thoughtful and new visual projects to the NYU community.

It was a community passionate about creating community. It brought together great minds and creatives to tell the collective NYU story.

HashtagNYU was an outreach to students who felt somewhat disconnected from the campus culture and provided ways to explore it.

HashtagNYU was teamwork, new friends and meaningful connections, a learning curve, and contributing to something I love. It is my family.

HashtagNYU — a worthy endeavor to create belonging, to try something new to make our NYU family smile, & to tell the amazing story of #NYU

HashtagNYU was a kind, creative community that helped turn my storytelling hobby into actual professional skills and a tangible portfolio.

To me, HashtagNYU was a family, a really special group of people who came together to do something bigger than all of us.

HashtagNYU was a place where, even during weekly meetings at 8:30AM on Fridays, everyone is involved, productive, cheerful, and vibrant.

It was a way to bring the new campus of NYU Shanghai into the NYU community. It was a bird's eye view of each student’s complex path.

A way to meet amazing, creative, fun people. A way to make videos which was a side passion. Student workstudy that I LOVED. Community&Pride.

HashtagNYU was with me from the day I applied to the day I graduated, and the first job I really LOVED! It was here where I found my voice.

HashtagNYU was more than just work experience. It was my opportunity to find new experiences, new friends, and new parts of myself.

My first chance, my gateway to professional development, my sense of community.

HashtagNYU was a way to explore and immerse myself in my creative talents while giving back to NYU.

HashtagNYU was my first position where I was able to create and curate content on a topic I love. With great people! I remember it fondly.
