The human body calls for a connection to nature and all of the health-infusing, mood-boosting benefits it offers. Unfortunately, people tend to spend most of their waking hours indoors—at the office, in the car commuting, and at home catching up on email or project overflow that wasn’t accomplished at the office. Since “the office” is becoming the place we spend our days—and sometimes even our nights—it is becoming incredibly important to design workspaces that promote happiness, health, and productivity.

ROADSHOW DATES
Bring your A-game to this interactive and engaging course. Using the regarded Competing Values Framework, you will participate in a gaming simulation to help you learn about organizational culture types. Organizational culture is the personality of a company that contributes to a company’s sense of order, continuity, and community.
Mitigating the negative health risks associated with a sedentary life and workstyle is an issue for everyone, especially today’s workers. Designers can help shape spaces that combat inactivity and positively support workplace wellness initiatives. This course focuses on the value of movement to our overall well-being and provides strategies for designing movement into the work experience.
