A fund created in support of the work of a particular non-profit institution, frequently set up for universities.

Foundation
Non-profit organization with a philanthropic purpose whereby it either invests in order to accumulate capital to fund its own charitable activities, or to donate to and support other organizations.

A state-owned investment fund that is composed of financial assets derived from a country’s reserve. It is usually of major economic and fiscal importance, with funds set aside for investment to benefit the country’s economy.
