What is your history as the concierge provider at TCC?
I came to Trammell Crow Center as a Corporate Concierge in March of 1991 with Trammell Crow Company, so I am starting my 33rd year here and still love the opportunity to help people daily. I had been a concierge for five years before that, so my concierge experience totals 38 years; yikes, that is crazy. I earned a BFA in Advertising from SMU, and I worked for a great Advertising Agency in Dallas for a short time. I also have my master's degree from SMU. I love education and hope to continue learning.
What services do you provide for tenants or visitors in the building?
My goal has been to offer the tenants and families of Trammell Crow Center something they could not obtain on their own, like discounted Texas Rangers or entertainment tickets. Over the years, I have sold multiple thousands of discounted tickets to hundreds of different events in the metroplex. I can't imagine the time and money I have saved our tenants over the years. Discounted tickets to the Dallas Arboretum and The Perot Museum are my favorite to offer – I love families exploring those venues together.
Can you share an example of when you went above and beyond for a tenant or visitor?
Oh, the stories I could share… but one from many years ago stands out. A tenant purchased discounted Six Flags Over Texas tickets from me for him and his son. After they visited the park, he sent me a handwritten note explaining that he couldn't have taken his son to the park without my help, and thanked me for helping him have a good relationship with his son. Wow, that was special!
How do you stay up to date on the latest information about the building, the neighborhood, and its amenities?
I am a member of national and regional networking organizations that truly are a lifeline to staying motivated and engaged in the community. We share best practices and helpful information. The influence and involvement of The National Concierge Association (NCA) and Corporate Concierge Inc. (CCI) is priceless.
I ask our retail tenants and neighbors about new offerings and how I can promote them to our tenants. I visit local museums and theaters and read blogs to find things that interest our diverse group of tenants.
How do you communicate and cultivate relationships with tenants in the building?
Communication is key. The current property management company created a building app, where we share updates about what is happening in and around TCC. We even do in-app contests and offer wonderful cash prizes to encourage tenants to engage. I also create a monthly tenant newsletter. My relationship with our tenant contacts is a vital communication tool, and I request feedback from them often. I strive to equip the tenant contacts with all they need to help their employees in Trammell Crow Center. It is like a family in TCC, as the tenants are friendly and grateful. The environment here is fun and productive. People enjoy coming to Trammell Crow Center, and so do I!
What qualities are important for someone in your role to possess?
Being organized and thorough are great qualities, but truly caring about people is most important. It is my honor to help people every day.
In your opinion, what makes TCC unique compared to other office buildings?
Several other team members have been here nearly as long as I have. We all work together to create a great environment – that kind of loyalty and teamwork is hard to find. The tenants who have been here for 20 and 30 years care as much about the building as we do. Trammell Crow Center has always been a very well-maintained property and we all take pride in its success.

Can you describe your role as a concierge?
I enjoy being part of the stellar TCC management team and have other responsibilities within TCC. In addition to being a corporate concierge, I am also the Manager of The Trammell Crow Center Conference Center. Tenants can rent the beautiful space on the second floor, and I organize the schedule of those rentals and make sure all the requests are met along with providing the billing information. I plan and execute tenant parties and gifts, as well as arranging donation drives for TCC, such as blood drives, diaper drives, E-waste Recycling, Shredding, etc. I arranged for TSA Global Entry interviews at TCC several years ago, that was a big hit and a time saver for hundreds of tenants. I even sold hunting and fishing licenses back in the 1990s. I saw a need and set out to meet it.
THANK YOU, JENNY, FOR THE SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICES YOU PROVIDE TO TRAMMELL CROW CENTER.
