The Green Apple Awards
Our numerous cabling solutions – including our PowerWise® PoE – were integral in revitalizing The Sinclair, a 1930s-era historic Art Deco landmark in Fort Worth, Texas, and turning it into an unprecedented Sustainable Intelligent Building. The luxury Marriott Autograph Hotel that now occupies the renovated building enjoys immense energy efficiency, savings on both construction time and cost and an unrivaled hospitality experience – all run on DC power, as detailed in our case study.

In “Our Journey to True Zero Waste,” one of our biggest sustainability goals – and greatest accomplishments as a company – was our attainment of third-party verified Zero Waste to Landfill certification. After a decade of improving the sustainability of our manufacturing practices, our plant in Hoisington, Kansas, proudly achieved this rigorous designation in 2014 – and has maintained it every year since. Here’s why this matters: We are the first company in our industry – and one of only a handful across the entire United States – to earn true Zero Waste certification, and fewer still are able to maintain it consecutively for years.
