People living with life-limiting heart failure may have to wait years for a transplant — if they are even candidates. The HeartMate 3 is a next-generation Left Ventricular Assist Device (also known as a heart pump) that both in clinical trials and real-world data has been shown to provide the highest published survival rate with lowest published adverse events for any LVAD¹ — and is FDA approved for long-term use when heart transplantation is not recommended.

Used to treat people with primary or secondary mitral regurgitation (MR), also known as a leaky heart valve, MitraClip helps when there's a problem with the mitral valve. The valve's leaflets, or flaps, aren't able to close effectively. The faulty valve causes blood to move backward within the heart. MitraClip is inserted through a vein in the leg, and threaded up to the heart, making it a minimally invasive option that allows people to avoid open-heart surgery.
