STIs Are

need for routine STI testing.
Not so.
STIs can lay dormant or undetected with symptoms appearing much later — or never at all.
About 50% of men and 70% of women with chlamydia and 50% of those with trichomoniasis have no symptoms.
Though STIs are more often associated with young people, one study found that less than a quarter of those aged 65 and older reported using condoms.
Some states have seen the highest rates among populations 55 and older.
