John, based out of Bennington, Nebraska, is the Director of Sales for Infrastructure and Roadway for Acuity Brands, one of the leading Solid State Lighting manufacturers in the market. John has 38 years of Experience in the Electrical Industry, including 25 years working for Holophane Lighting as a Senior Sales Rep and 13 years in various positions with Westinghouse Electric. John is active with the IESNA and is the current President of the Great Plains Section. He was also a Board Member for the Street and Area Lighting Conference (SALC) and member of the SALC Education Committee; Advisory Vendor Member of the Municipal Solid State Lighting Consortium (MSSLC); member of the IESNA Roadway Committee and is Chair of the Residential Roadway Sub Committee, now known as RP8-18 Chapter 11; he is also an advisor to the IESNA Emerging Professional committee. John is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln, has earned his LC from the NCQLP. John also is a guest lecturer for Lighting at the University of Nebraska Architectural Engineering Program and helps teach the IESNA FOL-09 (Formerly the ED100) and ED150 courses for the local section.
