She holds certificates in Professional Leadership and Healthcare Planning and Design from Cornell University and brings an educational, practical approach to speaking on healthcare environments. Kandy also serves as a Deputy Commander and Recruiting Officer with the Civil Air Patrol, supporting youth leadership and development nationwide.

This series is registered for continuing education credit(s) with the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Completion of each course will be reported to AIA CES for members that provide their membership credentials. Each course completed will be equivalent to 1 learning units. Completion of the entire series will equal 5 learning units.
Certificates of participation for all attendees are available upon request. Instructions for requesting a certificate will be provided at the end of this course. This course is for continuing professional education. As such, it does not include content that may be deemed or constructed to be an approval of any material of construction, any method or manner of handling, using, distributing, or dealing in any material or product by any of the organizations with which this content is registered.
This course may also be suitable for Continuing Education Credits with other organizations that accept self-reported CEU/PDH. Please check with the organization from which you are seeking credit for their criteria.

Tommy has grown into his role as a 11-year professional in the lighting industry, serving on the IES Healthcare Facilities Lighting Committee. His areas of expertise include behavioral health lighting, the needs of healthcare specialty spaces, pathogen reduction solutions to make people feel safer, and a dedication to developing solutions to expedite patient healing.

Kandy Welch
Kyle Gotliebson is the Director of Electronic Solutions for Acuity Brands in Region 6, bringing 26 years of expertise in specifying, commissioning, and validating advanced lighting control systems. A long time IES contributor, he teaches the lighting controls segment of the ED150 course and has held leadership roles including West Texas Section President and District 4 Web Chair. Kyle has instructed BOMA and AIA courses, presented for the IES National Webinar Series, and recently spoke at the American Association of Energy Engineers Annual Conference. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and previously served as an Air Force Special Operations Pilot with over 2,000 flight hours.
