Robust Flexibility for Common Integration
Integration between systems can be costly. The nLight AIR System Input Device (rSI) reduces the cost of wiring and eliminates complexity associated with fire alarms, pillow switches, specialized switches for harsh environments, and many other interfaces. The rSI converts 0-10V and dry contact outputs to wireless, nLight AIR broadcasts, allowing for control of intelligent luminaires and other lighting control devices.
Features
Resources
Universal Inputs
Each rSI has two isolated inputs that connect with 0-10V or dry contact outputs.
Versatility Through Customization
A variety of programming options determine how the rSI responds to third party inputs.
BACnet
Communicates contact and analog output statuses through BACnet for consumption by HVAC and BMS systems.
Fire Alarms
Converts fire alarm outputs to wireless broadcasts, temporarily overriding the operation of relevant control devices while the fire alarm signal is active. Settings updates can be written to any device connected to an nLight ECLYPSE system, turning fixtures ON and ignoring non-emergency messages in a single room or all across a project.
Patient Room Pillow Switches
A single momentary contact from a pillow switch can be used to turn fixtures ON or OFF and to RAISE and LOWER light levels. Because of this programming flexibility, the device works with single and double-pole pillow switches, providing control via the pillow switch while allowing other nLight AIR switches to control the same loads in three-way.
System-Wide and Local Scene Interface
Responses to connected outputs are sent locally via the rSI or across an entire network of devices via an nLight ECLYPSE. The number of devices affected is decided by programming, allowing for maximum versatility in the field.
LED Status Indicators
Intuitive LED indicators to identify if an input is detected, quickly confirming if wiring and installation has been completed correctly.
Intelligently Selects Wireless Frequency
nLight AIR intelligently avoids interfering with other active systems and equipment.
Outdoor and Harsh Environment Switches
Works with maintained and momentary, off-the-shelf dry contact switches. This allows for a switch made for direct water spray such as in a washdown room, for hard impacts possible in correctional facilities, and for low temperatures found in freezers or in cold outdoor environments to communicate with nLight AIR devices via a nearby rSI.

Open Loop Photocell
Wires to proportional (0-10V) and disproportional (10-0V) photocells. Dimming curve and on/off transition times are fully adjustable.
Open Loop Photocell
Open Loop Photocell
Pairs with 0-10V wires from an analog slider for intuitive raise/lower control of nLight AIR devices. Controlled loads transition off when the slider’s voltage drops below a threshold, allowing for raise/lower and on/off control using just 0-10V wiring.
