Pataday Product Options
A closer look at each Pataday product so you can help your patients find the Pataday that's right for them.
Over 40 million prescriptions have
been written for olopatadine, previously the #1 doctor-prescribed eye allergy itch relief ingredient, since 2008. Prescription no longer required.
About Pataday
Pataday temporarily relieves itchy eyes due to pollen, ragweed, grass, animal hair, and dander.
Pataday stabilizes mast cells and blocks histamines that have already been released from attaching to the histamine (H1) receptors in the eye, breaking the chain of allergic reaction.
There are currently three Pataday products available without a prescription, each with a different concentration of olopatadine. Pataday Once Daily Relief Extra Strength (0.7% olopatadine) provides a full 24 hours of eye allergy itch relief. Each Pataday product provides fast, effective relief that you can feel good recommending. See below for more information on each product to help guide your patients in finding the Pataday that's right for them.

What are the benefits of OTC Pataday offerings?
Offering Pataday in stores and online provides easier access for patients to purchase the previously #1 prescribed eye allergy itch relief active ingredient. OTC options also mean no pre-authorizations or call-backs, and the cost is less than the previous average co-pay.
All three products feature olopatadine, previously the #1 prescribed eye allergy itch relief active ingredient. However, each product has a different concentration of olopatadine (Pataday Once Daily Relief Extra Strength contains 0.7% olopatadine, Pataday Once Daily Relief contains 0.2% olopatadine, and Pataday Twice Daily Relief contains 0.1% olopatadine). The higher the concentration, the longer lasting eye allergy itch relief.
