Design Manager
Julia joined the AWC team in 2019 as a Healthcare Designer before becoming the Design Manager in 2021. Before joining AWC, Julia worked at A+D firms as a designer and project manager. Julia supports the design team so they can focus on providing the best possible results for their clients.
Kara Murphy
Account Manager
Kara has been an integral part of the AWC team for eight years and brings 10 years of commercial interiors industry experience to her clients. Her extensive design experience allows her to work closely with her customers to bring their vision to life through product and finish selection.
Jill Bradner
Account Manager
Jill is the primary point of contact for her clients when they need to redesign a space, order furniture for their offices, or have a large-scale project on which they are embarking. She has worked for Alfred Williams & Company for nineteen years and has experience in working with the initial design concept to implementation of the project.
Debbie Swaringen
Project Manager
Debbie has been with Alfred Williams & Company for 23 years. As your Project Manager, she will interface in the early/pre-construction phases of the project with the architect, designers, customer and general contractor to develop a detailed construction schedule and track critical milestones.
Nicole Valentine
Customer Care Administrator Manager
Nicole is responsible for processing, acknowledging, and tracking product orders, as well as invoicing upon project completion. Nicole’s relationships within the Design and Project Management communities as well as with our clients are critical to the success to the project.

Benton is the North Carolina Territory Manager for DIRTT. For the past four years he has worked exclusively with Alfred Williams and Company in this market to educate clients, contractors and the design community on the benefits of DIRTT interior construction solutions.

Rachel brings over 10 years of experience in a broad range of sectors, including commercial, communal, higher education, hospitality, multi-family, and residential spaces. Rachel joined the AWC team in 2023, where she specializes in workplace ideation, strategy, and 3D visualization.
Jade Franklin
Vice President, Strategy
Jade works with clients to align their business goals with their workplace needs. She is also host of the Work Points Podcast.
In addition to her work with clients, Jade regularly speaks at industry events about future of work, hybrid work and employee experience.
Montgomery Morris
Market President
As the Market President for Alfred Williams & Company in Raleigh, Montgomery Morris leads sales, interior design, customer service and business development for the Triangle region and eastern North Carolina. Previously Director of Market Development for Charlotte and the Triad, Montgomery brings eight years of related experience to the position.

Addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEIB) is a critical and ongoing challenge for many organizations, regardless of their age or size. Even companies with more than 150 years of service must continuously seek to improve. Leadership and our employees recognize the need to focus more attention on our DEIB strategy. As such, we embarked on a mission to strengthen our commitment to DEIB and build on the already strong employee culture of our company.
We formed a DEIB committee that is diverse, representing various demographics within the organization. This committee is given the authority to make meaningful changes. Through focus groups, a companywide DEIB survey and employee listening sessions, we made some discoveries to focus our efforts. With an 82.4% positive engagement from our survey, we learned that while our culture and efforts to date are strong, we have room to improve.
Our goal is simple. We believe a diverse and inclusive workplace is critical to achieving organizational success and innovation.
How We're Taking Action
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
Led by employees and the commitment of the executive leadership team, the DEIB committee has taken early steps. The summary below outlines our actions to date and our ongoing activities:
+ Our CEO, Blount Williams, has signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion
Pledge, along with over 2000 CEOs, pledging our commitment.
+ We are creating a DEIB strategic plan with committee, leadership and
employees.
+ We are focused on improving our company’s DEIB programs, events and
education.
+ Our executive leadership has created safe space for open dialogue through
leadership market engagement and open format listening sessions with
employees on a bi-annual basis.
- Eight sessions have been conducted in 2023.
Set measurable goals for success. Specific areas identified include:
+ Continued growth of diverse supplier program
+ Expand recruitment and engagement with diverse and underrepresented
communities.
+ Annual DEIB engagement survey with goal of moving positive engagement
scores.
Diverse Subcontractor Partnership
Our subcontractor relationships are critical to our success, and we choose our partners thoughtfully. Our Subcontractor Development Program is a structured initiative to prioritize diversity and inclusion within subcontractor business networks. The primary goal is to encourage the participation and growth of businesses owned by underrepresented or disadvantaged groups, such as minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, and small businesses.
