HELLO
Wolfspeed Team, On behalf of Alfred Williams & Company and MillerKnoll we'd like to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the furniture and services RFP for Wolfspeed's JP Administration Building project in Siler City. It has been an absolute pleasure working with the greater Wolfspeed team over the past 8 years. As we look to the future, we are excited about the prospect of continuing to build on our partnership and embarking on new ventures together. Your familiarity with our core team's capabilities, our shared dedication to excellence, and the positive working dynamic we have cultivated all contribute to a seamless and productive collaboration that we believe makes us the right partner for this incredibly exciting and complex Wolfspeed JP 4project. Our response respects and honors the vision and hard work put forth by Wolfspeed's Workplace Team over the last 12 months. We have three key messages that we believe make Alfred Williams & Company the right choice. Our people and experienced team, our value proposition, and our ability to help the greater team visualize your space as we continue to work towards designing The JP. People: Our experienced core team with well over 100 years of combined industry experience is poised to continue to meet and exceed your needs. We believe that both the core team, and our Workplace Optimization teams are equipped to support those efforts both locally, across the country, and abroad. Value Proposition: On page 4 we've highlighted offerings that we believe will drive value in ways that differentiate Alfred Williams & Company. Value Engineering and Forward Thinking: We are constantly thinking about ways and opportunities to be good stewards of Wolfspeed's budget and to protect the investments made in purchasing quality products over the years. Knowing the importance of cost-efficiencies, we have provided a value-engineered alternative solution for your consideration by making some minor tweaks to the specifications. Major savings can be unlocked by looking at alternative products in the Humanscale Sit-stand base, MillerKnoll Verus Task chair, and the MillerKnoll Lima monitor arm. Swapping these three products will net a total savings of $365.86 per workstation and private office. Included in our submittal you'll find our DIRTT Architectural product proposal. We are committed to providing an attractive package whose single-source efficiency alone will save costs. Workplace Innovation and Optimization: We hope you enjoy the virtual fly-throughs created by our team based on the vision provided by the JP Team collectively. Our Workplace Innovation and Optimization Team provides a suite of services that help you optimize your workplace and attract and retain talent in an ever-changing world. By performing post occupancy surveys, space utilization, employee focus groups, and change management, we can ensure that Wolfspeed's workplace remains relevant and maximizes employee engagement. Alfred Williams & Company is offering these services at no additional cost to Wolfspeed with full award. An estimated service offering of $22,000. See page 21 for more details on the AWC Workplace Innovation and Optimization Team. Wolfspeed's Community Impact and Spend Goals: We understand the importance of making a positive impact on our community. Included are a few opportunities created to make sure that you know your dollars and your project is making a difference from MWBE spend, local manufacturers support, and environmental impact. AWC and MillerKnoll have come up with figures and tracking to share with your teams, so they can understand how the work you are doing is making a difference! - AWC plans to utilize MWBE sub-contractors to perform all labor and installation services. We anticipate that will equate to 5-8% of total project spend. - We have prepared several NC based manufacturers to be ready to provide solutions on this project, if local spend and support is important to capture on this project. - MillerKnoll continues to work toward Carbon Net neutral manufacturing standards. Please see their detailed efforts highlighted within our submittal.
