INDEXED ANNUITY
Plan for Tomorrow, Today. Retirement should be a time to enjoy some well-deserved rest after many years of hard work. How and when you will save for retirement may be some of the most important financial decisions that you make in your life. You want peace of mind that your money is secure, has the opportunity to grow, and will be there when you need it. Americo Financial Life and Annuity Insurance Company's (Americo) annuity products are designed to provide solutions for the following situations: Protecting against outliving your retirement savings Income planning with safety and growth When You Should Purchase an Annuity While saving for retirement To protect and grow your current savings (transfer funds from Trad IRAs, Roth IRAs, 401ks, and/or any non-qualified accounts) To guarantee lifetime income To leave a legacy. If you pass away, your hard-earned savings will be paid to beneficiaries of your choice with no surrender penalty Annuities An annuity is a retirement planning tool that offers safety, growth, and guarantees. All earnings in an annuity grow income tax-deferred until withdrawn. This means money that would have otherwise been used to pay taxes can remain in your annuity and compound over time. Annuities provide a stream of income payments that can be designed to fit your needs, even paying out over your entire lifetime. Fixed Indexed Annuities An indexed annuity is a type of fixed annuity in which the interest rate is based on the performance of a financial index, such as the S&P 500® Index. The interest paid is calculated based on changes in the index. Indexed annuities offer the potential to outperform traditional fixed annuities when there are gains in the index. However, unlike variable annuities, index annuities offer downside protection. This means even if the index declines, the annuity will not lose value. Also, once earnings are calculated, they are locked in for life – they never change as a result of poor market conditions. Americo offers the Elite 5, a fixed indexed annuity that provides growth potential through market-linked interest crediting and protection from market losses. Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuity (MYGA) A multi-year guaranteed annuity, or MYGA, is an annuity that provides a guaranteed fixed interest rate for a specified period of time. Americo offers the Platinum Assure MYGA, a fixed annuity that provides competitive interest rates and a reliable way to grow your savings. Why Choose an Americo Annuity? Americo has earned an “A” (Excellent) by A.M. Best, offering you a portrait of financial stability. Our priority is always our clients’ financial security. An independent rating firm routinely assesses the financial strength, stability, and claims-paying ability of Americo. We continue to receive a high-performance rating from an independent evaluator, A.M. Best.Learn more about how a fixed indexed annuity or fixed-rate annuity, such as a MYGA, can benefit you. MULTIYEAR GUARANTEED ANNUITY
Annuity Rates One of the biggest factors many people consider before purchasing an annuity is the interest or growth rate it offers. Americo provides two types of fixed annuities—fixed-rate annuities and fixed indexed annuities—each offering different ways to help your money grow safely over time. A fixed-rate annuity, like Americo’s Platinum Assure MYGA, provides a guaranteed interest rate for a specific period, such as 2 to 7 years. The advantage is predictable growth that does not vary with market conditions, making it easier to plan for your financial future. Generally, longer guarantee periods offer higher fixed rates. A fixed indexed annuity, such as Americo’s Elite 5, offers growth potential based on the performance of market index sectors. Instead of a guaranteed interest rate, these annuities credit interest based on a participation rate tied to index performance, while still protecting your principal from market losses. This option may appeal to individuals looking for a balance between protection and opportunity. Americo offers competitive rates for both types of annuities. Explore the rate options below to see what fits your financial strategy best.

GGuarantee Period Interest Rate Guarantee period interest rates are declared by Americo Financial Life and Annuity Insurance Company (“Americo”) and are guaranteed for the duration of the guarantee period of your annuity. This means your interest rate will never change during the guarantee period of the annuity. This annuity allows you to confidently plan for your future income, as you’ll know exactly how much growth you will accumulate. How Your Annuity Grows During the accumulation phase, your annuity earns interest based on the performance of the market indices and the participation rate of the crediting strategy you choose. Your money grows tax-deferred, meaning you won’t pay taxes on earnings until you withdraw. You can diversify across index sectors or include a declared interest option. Index performance may change over time, so growth potential varies by strategy, but your account will never lose value due to index losses. Interest Crediting and Participation Rates Interest crediting for fixed indexed annuities is based on index performance, not a guaranteed rate. Americo declares participation rates that determine how much of the index’s growth is credited to your annuity. These rates apply for the duration of the crediting period selected. Your annuity offers multiple strategies and index sector options. While credited interest may vary, your principal is protected from market losses. This allows you to benefit from positive market movement while keeping your savings safe. Benefits of Indexed Growth The benefit of a fixed indexed annuity is that you can gain interest from positive market performance, without the risk of losing your principal. This helps you plan for the future, even in uncertain economic conditions. With many financial tools, your account value can fluctuate. Fixed indexed annuities offer a level of stability while providing market-linked growth potential. With Elite 5, your savings are protected, and your earning potential is expanded.

The Elite 5 Annuity includes 5 straightforward Index Sectors that are easy to understand and help reduce exposure to risk tied to individual company performance. Index sectors are publicly traded companies sorted into groups based on their primary business activities. Each of these indices can be tied to either a 5-Year Final Average with Participation Rate or a 1-Year Point-to-Point with Participation Rate index method. How Does Interest Crediting Work? The Index Credited Amount depends in part upon the Indexing Method. In applying the Indexing Method, a Participation Rate may apply. The Participation Rate may change each Index Period, but will never be less favorable than the guaranteed minimums. Point-to-Point - Point-to-Point is the method used to determine the Index Rate. The closing values of the Index at the beginning and end of the year are compared [(ending value - beginning value) / beginning value]. The annual indexed crediting rate applied to the Participation Account will be determined by adjusting this index rate by the current Participation Rate.Final Average - The Index Credited Amount under the Final Average with Participation Rate Index Option is a calculated Amount based upon the percentage change of the Index Value from the beginning to the end of an Index Period, where the ending value is a 30-day average. This percentage change is the Index Rate. If the Index Rate is positive, the Net Index Rate will equal the Index Rate multiplied by the Participation Rate. If the Index Rate is negative or zero, there is no Index Credited Amount.Participation Rate - The Participation Rate is declared in advance of each year-long index period or 5-year index period (depending on which indexes are chosen) and will be guaranteed for the one-year or 5-year index period. The Participation Rate is the percentage of the index rate that will be used in determining the indexed crediting rate.Declared Interest Account - Under the Declared Interest Option, interest is credited on a daily basis at a declared rate that is set in advance by Americo. This declared rate is guaranteed for one contract year (Term Period). Americo reserves the right to change the interest rate at any time for future Term Periods. We guarantee the declared rate will never be lower than 0.25%.
Final Average Indexing Method with Participation Rate +
Point-to-Point Indexing Method with Participation Rate +
Final Average Indexing Method with Participation Rate The Index Credited Amount under the Final Average with Participation Rate Index Option is calculated based upon the percentage change of the Index Value from the beginning to the end of an Index Period, where the ending value is a 30-day average. This percentage change is the Index Rate. If the Index Rate is positive, the Net Index Rate will equal the Index Rate multiplied by the Participation Rate. If the Index Rate is negative zero, there is no Index Credited Amount. Example: Unfavorable Index Performance Beginning Index Value: 500 Ending Index Value: 463 Participation Rate: 55.0% In this example, the Index Rate is -7.40% (463 / 500) - 1. Because the percentage change is negative, the Participation Rate does not apply, and the Net Index Rate will be zero. Example: Favorable Index Performance Beginning Index Value: 500 Ending Index Value: 595 Participation Rate: 55.0% In this example, the Index Rate is 19% (595 / 500) - 1. Because there is a 55% Participation Rate, the Net Index Rate is 10.45% (19% x 55%).
Point-to-Point Indexing Method with Participation Rate The Index Credited Amount under a Point-to-Point Indexing Method is calculated based upon the percentage change of the Index Value from the beginning to the end of an Index Period to the end of the Index Period, the Index Rate. If the Index Rate is positive, the Net Index Rate will equal the Index Rate multiplied by the Participation Rate. If the Index Rate is negative zero, there is no Index Credited Amount. Example: Unfavorable Index Performance Beginning Index Value: 1,000 Ending Index Value: 930 Participation Rate: 60.0% In this example, the Index Rate is -7% (930/1,000) - 1. Because the Index Rate is negative, the Participation Rate does not apply, and the Net Index Rate will be zero. Example: Favorable Index Performance Beginning Index Value: 1,000 Ending Index Value: 1,200 Participation Rate: 55.0% In this example, the Index Rate is 20% (1,200 / 1,000) - 1. Because there is a 60% Participation Rate, the Net Index Rate is 12% (20% x 60%).

This fixed annuity offers a more stable way to grow your money, and you won't owe taxes on the growth until you begin taking payments. What Can Platinum Assure Do for Me? The concept behind Platinum Assure is simple: support your retirement with a safer, more predictable way to grow and protect your money. When you purchase this annuity, you're guaranteed a competitive interest rate for the full guarantee period. Americo offers guarantee periods ranging from two to seven years to meet different financial needs. Key Features of Platinum Assure "A" Rated Carrier 6 multi-year guarantee periods True "walk-away" surrender charge periods Yearly penalty-free withdrawals, including the first year Systematic monthly interest option 45-day rate lock Nursing Home waiver Single premium tax-deferred annuity Issue ages 0-90 Better than a CD or High-Yield Savings Account A certificate of deposit (CD) or a high-yield savings account are both safe ways to grow your money. However, a CD may not offer a very high interest rate, and high-yield savings accounts often have a fluctuating interest rate. Annuities tend to offer higher interest rates and provide tax-deferred growth. Similarly, you aren’t allowed to take money out of a CD without facing high withdrawal fees. Platinum Assure allows you to take up to 5% of your account value once each year without penalty (percent varies by guarantee period). A fixed annuity allows you to safely and predictably grow your savings and build a financial future. Give yourself peace of mind knowing your rates are locked with Americo’s Platinum Assure fixed rate annuity products. Find our current fixed annuity interest rates here. How Platinum Assure Works It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3… Contribute - You decide how much money to allocate when you purchase an annuity. It’s best to determine how long you can allow a certain amount of money to sit untouched. Grow - During this agreed-upon guarantee period, your money grows based on the guaranteed fixed interest rate. During this time, your growth is tax-deferred. Enjoy - This is when you receive payments from your annuity. You can also choose to withdraw the full account value, depending on your financial needs. How Much is Platinum Assure? The minimum premium to purchase Platinum Assure is $25,000, and the maximum is $1,000,000 without prior home office approval. Will I Have Access to My Money? Americo allows penalty-free withdrawals of up to 3-5 % once per year, depending on the guarantee period. Taking out more than the allotted amount can result in high penalty fees.
