Dunkin' Brands — which includes Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins — serves up coffee, ice cream, and more. But their sales processes and visibility into franchisee operations weren’t quite as sweet. They needed to establish efficiency in sales processes across various sales organizations in multiple business units, migrate public franchising websites to a platform supporting consolidated sales and marketing and international growth, and consolidate franchisee data into a single, easy-to-use system.
To bring their worker operations up to par with their Customer Experience, Appirio implemented Salesforce Sales Cloud as the system of record for all sales processes, deployed Salesforce Customer Portal, and configured the command line mode of Salesforce.com Data Loader to support inbound integration from Oracle EBS of franchisees, organizations, ownership, restaurants, trade areas, and territories, etc. Now Dunkin’ Brands is able to automate sales and marketing activities across all businesses using a single platform. Safeway now employs over 265,000 people across over 22,000 stores in 30+ states. But their internal processes and technologies were dated, and needed an overhaul to elevate the Worker Experience. Safeway’s marketing team initially stored all collateral in physical folders for each project, with a courier service in place just to get folders delivered to members of the marketing team. The manual process limited tracking and restricted communications, reducing the team’s ability to collaborate virtually.
Over the course of just 6 months, Appirio helped Safeway move to a project management app on Force.com. The project involved leveraging the Salesforce.com Community Portal to allow both third-party creative agencies and the Safeway team to plug into the work and implementing single sign-on so users were linked to SpringCM and Salesforce.com, allowing the creative team to upload files in Salesforce with storing functionality in SpringCM. With dashboard capabilities and drag-and-drop functionality, users can now dive into deeper detail at a glance, eliminating the need for a costly courier service and allowing projects to move much faster.
