Responsibility for establishing a transition of care clinic at UAMS with complex needs who age out of the pediatric system. These would include myelomeningocele patients and those with complex hydrocephalus
Practicing in a high-volume program with over 500 operations annually, covering the full scope of pediatric neurosurgery
Support from the UAMS Department of Neurosurgery including 14 residents. Two residents are on service at ACH at a time, providing junior and senior level coverage; in addition to 24-hour call coverage
1-in-4 attending call coverage, residents take primary call
Mentor residents in pediatric neurosurgery and residents in care of adult patients with pediatric conditions

Be available to assist with the care of adults with “pediatric-type” conditions such as tethered spinal cord and Chiari malformation
