Keenan partnered with Blankets of Hope, to provide over 7,000 warm blankets and toiletry kits to nonprofit organizations throughout CA working with the homeless population.
In addition, every employee was sent a $25 TisBest charity gift card to donate to a nonprofit organization of their choice!
Keenan’s Volunteer Squad worked on a variety of craft projects that were then donated to Meals on Wheels, the Jessie Rees Foundation and the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles. Together we donated over 1200 handmade items. The Volunteer Squad gives employees the opportunity to reconnect and work together while reinforcing our motto of, “what you do makes a difference!”
Keenan held 4 different drives, raising over $18,000 for charitable organizations. Employees also collected pet food and supplies, gently-used clothing and school supplies to supplement those drives.
Kids’ Chance of California is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide need-based educational scholarships to the children of California workers who have been fatally or seriously injured on the job.
To date, Keenan’s has donated over $75,000 to Kids’ Chance. This donation has helped provide students with access to higher education as well as the necessary skills to be successful in life and in the workplace.
Giving back to our local communities is an important value within our Keenan culture. Keenan provided $200,000 to support a variety of nonprofits in California.
We also partnered with the California Community College Foundation to introduce the AP Keenan Insurance Education Scholarship Fund with a donation of $10,000.
We continued our support of California Medicine Scholar’s Program with an additional $5,000 donation.
Keenan SafeSchools offers a Mandated Reporter course which is offered free of charge to any school district in California. This course is part of our online training program that has received congressional recognition for helping to keep kids safe in schools. To date, more than 2.3 million Mandated Reporter courses have been completed.
Keenan employees completed almost 5,000 VTO hours volunteering at IMPACT Day and nonprofits in their local communities. Employees are given 2 days per year to volunteer at a non-profit organization of their choice.
Keenan continues to support increasing the diversity of professionals working within the insurance, risk management, and financial services industry by providing scholarships to underrepresented students at California Community Colleges.

Riverside office raised $1,115 for Feeding America
Torrance office donated almost 900 lbs. of food to The Volunteer Center
Disaster Relief:
Emergency Hurricane Relief Drive helped raise $36,000.
Wildfire Relief- $15,000 for wildfire relief to American Red Cross and Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC) ONETREEPLANTED - $5,000 to help with re-forestation efforts
