He lies in second spot in the club's all-time games managed standings.
Zinedine Zidane clocked up his 250th game in the Real Madrid dugout in the meeting with Éibar and at the end of the match, club president Florentino Pérez presented the coach with a commemorative shirt. Zidane is the manager who has taken charge of the second most games in Real Madrid's history, second only to Miguel Muñoz (605). Zidane’s time in charge has been full of success. All madridistas will have vivid memories of the trio of Champions League triumphs, secured in 2016, 2017 and 2018. He has also guided the team to a further eight pieces of silverware: two Club World Cups, UEFA Super Cups, LaLiga titles and Spanish Super Cups apiece.

This goal-scoring record is Real Madrid's third best in the European Cup after those racked up by Cristiano Ronaldo (105) and Raúl (66).
After his goal against Éibar, the French striker has now scored 187 goals in the competition and has now overtaken Santillana.

Poirier: “Real Madrid is an iconic team in European basketball
“This is a winning team and that's what drove me to join the club: to win trophies", added the club's new center. Vincent Poirier has given his first interview as a Real Madrid player as he sat down with the club's official media channels to express his excitement at embarking on this new chapter in his career: "I'm so excited to be here. Real Madrid is a great team, one of the most iconic teams in European basketball, so I'm delighted to be here. I can't wait to get back out there and share experiences with my teammates out on the court, whilst I enjoy playing basketball. I'm raring to get started and train with my teammates and get back out on the court".
"What motivates me most is to win a trophy. That's the crowning moment and I've never had the chance to win the league in Spain, the EuroLeague or any trophies in France, so what I want to do now is win something with the team, which is as good as it gets".
Playing style "I can get around the court, I'm strong on rebounds, block players in the paint and offer intensity. I can also make good blocks, drive quickly towards the basket and post slam dunks. They're my strengths and that's what I'll offer the team".Objectives"I'm aiming to perform better than I did in my first stint in the EuroLeague, but right now I'm not the most important thing, the team is. I've just come back from the NBA, so all I want to do now is contribute to the team and not think about me. When you join a club like Real Madrid, individual players don't matter".
I'M DELIGHTED TO BE AT REAL MADRID "All I want to do is win. I lost an ACB final against Real Madrid and I can tell you that they're a winning team. That's why I'm here, that's what I want to do too: win. Winning trophies is what drove me to join the club". Tavares "He's a great player. I've faced him many times and we've enjoying great rivalry. I think that everything will go well for us and I can't wait to share the court with him and line up alongside him. He's a defensive specialist. I've seen that his game has really come on, so I can't wait to play with him". Laso "He's one of the best coaches in EuroLeague history and I'm so excited to play under him. I know that he's a great coach and am raring to get started".Message to the fans“Hello madridistas, I'm so happy to be here, hala Madrid!”.
VINCENT POIRIER DEBUTS WITH REAL MADRID The centre played his first game for Real Madrid against Joventut. Vincent Poirier made his debut in the Real Madrid jersey in the same week that his signing was made official, as Laso's team played Joventut Badalona in round 32 of the league season. The French centre was on the court for 15:24 minutes at the WiZink Center and contributed 9 points (3/3 on two-point shots and 1/1 on three-pointers), 5 rebounds and 1 rebound for 9 PIR on the way to helping the leaders to their 16th consecutive win.
Fans can now view the Santiago Bernabéu's transformation at the museum.
The Bernabéu Tour has a new exhibition dedicated to the spectacular transformation that the stadium is undergoing. Fans who visit the madridista museum can now discover this area, which provides detailed information on the renovation works at the Santiago Bernabéu. It also houses an historical overview of the origins of the stadium and its most important events since it was inaugurated in 1947. One of the most eye-catching features of the exhibition is a large model of the stadium. Visitors can see how the current stadium has become the future Santiago Bernabéu of the 21st century through an audiovisual show, which projects images and sounds onto the model. Real Madrid fans can continue to enjoy the Bernabéu Tour this Easter and experience this new exhibition. Madridista card holders continue to receive exclusive discounts to visit the museum. Club members can also take a photo montage of the works in the stadium and keep this souvenir for free. In order to gain access, members can collect their invitation by presenting their membership card at the Tour ticket offices located at Paseo de la Castellana, 140. Twelve of the most important football clubs in Europe announce on Monday, April 19 that they have agreed to form a new competition, the Super League, governed by their Founding Clubs. AC Milan, Arsenal FC, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, FC Internazionale Milano, Juventus FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid CF and Tottenham Hotspur have joined as Founding Clubs. Three more clubs will be invited to join before the opening season starts as soon as possible. The Founding Clubs look forward to future discussions with UEFA and FIFA in order to identify the best solutions for the Super League and for world football as a whole. The formation of the new league comes at a time when the global pandemic has accelerated the instability of the current economic model of European football. The Founding Clubs have for years aimed to improve the quality and strength of existing European competitions and, in particular, to create a tournament in which the best clubs and players can compete against each other on a more frequent basis. The pandemic has shown that a strategic vision and commercial approach is needed to increase value and support for the benefit of the football pyramid as a whole. Over the past months, there has been an intensive consultation with the governing bodies on the future format of European competitions. The Founding Clubs believe that the solutions proposed by the regulators do not resolve the fundamental issues, which are both the need to offer higher quality matches and to obtain additional financial resources for the whole world of football. FORMAT OF THE COMPETITION • 20 clubs will participate, the 15 Founder Clubs and five additional teams will qualify annually on the basis of the previous season's performance; • All matches will be played midweek, all clubs will continue to compete in their respective domestic leagues, preserving the traditional fixtures that are at the heart of club life; • The season will start in August with clubs participating in two groups of ten, playing home and away matches; the top three in each group will automatically qualify for the quarter-finals. The teams finishing fourth and fifth will play an additional two-legged playoff. Following this, two-legged playoffs will take place from the quarter-finals onwards, leading to the final, which will be played as a single match at the end of May at a neutral venue. As soon as possible following the launch of the men’s competition, a women’s league will be rolled out, which will contribute to the progress and development of the ladies’ game. This new annual tournament will allow for significantly improved financial growth, which will enable the clubs to support the European game through a long-term commitment and will see the solidarity contributions increase in line with the revenues generated by the new European league. The solidarity payments will be greater than those currently generated by the European club competition system and it is expected that they will exceed €10,000 million during the period that the clubs have committed to. Meanwhile, the new competition will be built on the basis of sustainable financial criteria, with all of the founding members having committed to a spending framework. In exchange for that commitment, the clubs will receive a total one-off payment of €3.5 billion which is for the sole purpose of investing in infrastructure and offsetting the impact of the COVID pandemic. Real Madrid president and president of the Super League, Florentino Pérez, stated that: “We’re going to help football at all levels and position it in its rightful place in the world. Football is the only global sport in the world with over 4 billion followers and, as big clubs, our duty is to satisfy the fans’ demands”. In comments in support of the new European league, Andrea Agnelli, Juventus president and vice-president of the Super League noted that: “Our 12 founder members represent thousands of million of fans across the world. We’ve come together at this critical time to bring about a transformation in the European game to give the sport that we love the foundations to make it sustainable in the future by considerably increasing the solidarity payments and giving fans and amateur players a dream and offering games of the highest quality that will feed their passion for football”. Joel Glazer, Manchester United co-owner and Super League vice-president, declared that: “By bringing together the best clubs and players from across the world to play against each other for a whole season, the Super League will represent a new chapter for European football, whilst ensuring a competition and facilities of the highest quality and greater financial support across the football pyramid in general”.
