Infant skin absorbs moisture faster than adult skin, but it also loses moisture faster which can lead to skin dryness. If your baby is prone to dry skin try cutting back on bath time, applying moisturizer, and keeping them well hydrated.
We’ve been using raw shea butter on my son’s dry skin since he was born and it has worked wonders.

If your baby’s diaper area looks irritated and red, it could be diaper rash. To prevent or treat diaper rash, change their diaper frequently, rinse or wipe diaper area at each diaper change, pat dry (don’t rub), and use an ointment or cream.

If your baby's scalp has yellow or brown flaky, crusty, or scaly skin that looks like dandruff, it may be cradle cap. Cradle cap usually clears up on its own by 6 to 12 months of age, but you can try gently massaging your baby’s scalp to loosen the scales.
I put some coconut oil on my baby’s scalp for a couple of hours before bath time. Then during the bath, I scrubbed her head with a soft silicone brush and baby soap. Completely took it away.

Eczema is an intensely itchy rash that can look like dry, thickened, scaly skin, or include tiny red bumps. It tends to show up most often on the cheeks. You can manage mild eczema by avoiding triggers and using an over-the-counter ointment.
I recommend seeing an allergist. Nothing topical would completely take away my baby’s eczema and then we found out he is allergic to eggs, dairy, tree nuts, and pet dander. Avoiding all of those things helped clear it up.

Baby acne usually appears on the cheeks, eyelids, and nose. It may appear as white or red bumps or pimples, which may be surrounded by reddish skin. Try using unscented bathing products and detergents to avoid aggravating your baby’s acne.
For baby acne, I just make sure I clean up the spit up and breast milk drips with a damp cloth. They tend to clear up pretty quick if I just keep her clean that way.
