Our design and manufacturing experience uniquely positions us to provide our customers with innovative factory overhaul and upgrade programs. We restore flight critical parts to meet our extensive original equipment manufacturer quality standards and extend the product life cycle.
We are committed to being a trusted partner for our customers, embracing an innovative mindset and leveraging our development expertise in high-integrity controls, avionics, and power management solutions.
BAE Systems’ extensive industry experience and innovative product portfolio enable us to create a technologically advanced and reliable flight control system. We have been developing and producing flight controls for more than 40 years, with an installed base of 15,000 aircraft.
Flight Control Systems
BAE Systems’ smart electronics streamline and simplify pilots’ control of the flight deck environment through intuitive, integrated technologies that ensure optimal aircraft performance. As the technological interface between pilots and their aircraft, the design and implementation of flight deck systems require a long-term, in-depth understanding of the challenges pilots face, and the capabilities under their control.
Flight Deck Systems
BAE Systems’ integrated approach to cabin management offers airlines the tools needed to effectively manage the entire cabin seamlessly with our modular, scalable solutions. Using a data storage module and a series of high-speed switches, our solution offers expandable memory of up to 64 TB and high-speed processing power. Along with our attendant control panel, designed to reduce the crew’s workload, we provide a complete end-to-end solution.
Cabin Management Systems
Extensive experience with avionics has enabled us to design a cabin system that offers the amenities and functionality that airlines require. Our dedicated service and support team provides line-fit and retrofit solutions for any platform. We strive to provide exemplary customer service by supporting our products from the day they leave the factory until their last day in service.
We continue to invest in developing new technology to provide pilots with an enhanced level of feedback and control, using lighter, simpler components that free up space and reduce fuel consumption. In addition, our advances in autonomous controls and electrification will further transform aviation.
Engine Systems
We continuously implement new technology to extend the product lifecycle, and increase the reliability and safety of our products. We are unmatched in the development and through-life support of EEC with proven performance on both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft for commercial and military applications.
We specialize in the design, development, and production of Electronic Engine Controls (EEC) that optimize engine performance and efficiency. Our flight-critical controls work within the engine system to control engine operation, provide propulsion and electrical power, optimize fuel consumption, reduce emissions, and detect, announce, and mitigate failures.
Mounted on the engine fan case, our control systems endure continuous exposure in the harshest environments. For optimal performance in these extreme conditions, our products incorporate design, development, and manufacturing techniques based on extensive analysis and understanding of field performance data.
