At Bain, our commitment to impact extends far beyond client work. Our employees actively contribute their time and expertise to sustainable impact—whether by strengthening nonprofits through volunteer consulting, gaining hands-on experience
in social impact externships, or giving back to their local communities. Through volunteer consulting projects with Acumen Foundry members, teams help social enterprises
and nonprofits address their biggest strategic challenges while sharpening their own skills. Each year, hundreds of Bainies
take on social impact externships with organizations such as Bridgespan, Endeavor, The Nature Conservancy, KIPP, and the World Food Programme, gaining hands-on experience driving high-impact initiatives. And many offices organize community impact days or local affinity groups, mobilizing teams to support local organizations or champion important causes.

Bain’s strategic partnership has been a driving force behind AMANDLA’s global growth over the past decade. When Bain first worked with us, we had just two Safe-Hubs—today, we have 19 worldwide. Our program check-ins have grown from a few thousand to over 700,000 annually, and our team has expanded from a handful of staff to nearly 400. Bain’s expertise and commitment have helped us scale impact-driven solutions, transforming communities across the globe.

We have been working with Bain & Company since our launch in 2022, and they have been an amazing partner. Early on, their work focused on strategy, positioning, and research supporting our mission to solve for “more energy, less emissions, fast.” More recently, they have helped us scale our organization and deliver specific impact projects to remove key barriers to implementation. Thanks to Bain’s firmwide support, we are now on the verge of changing the trajectory of one of the world’s greatest challenges.

We are excited for our next decade of impact, committing
We’ve worked with Bain on multiple engagements since 2019. Early on, their strategic insights helped focus our organization on where we can be most successful. The continuity of Bain’s support across multiple projects added huge value to the strategy work we did with them most recently as they knew us, our work, and our industry in very deep ways. The resulting strategy has been absolutely transformational, driving 30% revenue growth and 40% growth in impact in the first two years. It’s hard to overstate Bain’s role in helping us adapt to an ever-changing world. Beyond these measurable results, Bain teams always brought genuine commitment and passion to our mission—leaving us not only with a stronger organization but also with new friends.

The private market decarbonization roadmap (PMDR) offers general partners (GPs) a practical way to categorize emissions reduction efforts that is tailored for private market investors. With widespread adoption across the industry, it's helping both GPs and limited partners communicate progress on decarbonization in a common language. Bain & Company’s pro bono support played a key role in its development alongside Initiative Climat International (iCI) and the Sustainable Markets Initiative's Private Equity Taskforce (PESMIT).

Bain has been an invaluable partner to KIPP—both nationally and regionally—providing strategic guidance and research insights that enable us to address organizational challenges with clarity, discipline, and an unwavering focus on what matters most: our students. Bain has supported our work in areas such as growth, talent, and operations. Their teams consistently demonstrate a commitment to excellence, curiosity about our mission, and a deep belief in the potential of our students. KIPP has produced results that have enabled generations of young people to pursue and achieve their dreams, and it is not too much to say that those outcomes may not have happened without our long partnership with Bain.
