Thanks to the spring/summer '26 catwalks at Celine, Loewe and LII, a pop of colour has become the easiest way to elevate the basics. The trick, if we are to take notes from Celine’s Michael Rider, is to lean in fully and clash paintbox brights together for maximum impact.

Track jackets have become one of my wardrobe staples, up there with a great shirt. I love them layered under
a blazer or worn simply on their own. They always feel a little retro,
a little unexpected and very chic.

High street favourite Topshop is back with a bang and this supple brown leather jacket makes the case nicely. The sort of easy throw on layer you will reach for the moment the famously fickle British weather turns.
The hero jacket
High low dressing has well and truly earned its fashion seal of approval from the likes of Alexa Chung and Paloma Elsesser. Something practical like a rain jacket thrown over delicate lace makes for the kind of contrast that feels very relevant right now.
