Basildon is the first location in the UK to have 18 of these new shelters installed along Whitmore Way, as part of the Greener Route initiative.
Milestone shelters have been developed through extensive research into the needs of bus users like you - with a focus on accessibility, safety, comfort, and sustainability.

We worked with disability equality charity Scope and Thomas Pocklington Trust, a charity supporting blind and partially sighted people, Foundation to make the bus shelter more inclusive and accessible.
