the loss of her fourth pregnancy after a series of devasting miscarriages. “There’s something healing about Bali,” says Chloe, chatting to marie claire lifestyle from a daybed overlooking Uluwatu Beach. “I first started coming here in my late teens, and it’s become a second home. When I’m here, I never want to leave.”
If Bali is Chloe’s second home, Narrabeen on the Northern Beaches of Sydney is her first. Palm Beach on the Gold Coast is her third, Venice Beach in Los Angeles is her fourth, and Ibiza in Spain is her fifth. Such is life on the road with her husband, “Best International DJ” Fisher, who travels the world playing sold-out shows to adoring crowds. For Chloe, a self-confessed homebody, it’s important to have a home base even when they’re on tour.
Following their intuition, the couple snapped up a villa and started working with Nicole to put their unique stamp on it. Their villa, one of three, opened as a holiday rental last year. It has a distinctive Mediterranean design, complemented with Balinese charm and hand-picked art. “There are prints from our favourite photographer, Corey Wilson, around the villa, and an incredible piece by artist Jai Vasicek in the master bedroom. We’re obsessed with Jai’s work and have his art in all of our homes, in Palm Beach, LA and Ibiza,” muses Chloe. “I really wanted the space to have a warm, homey feeling. There’s a softness in the teak wood furniture, in the neutral colour palette and the lush lighting.”
It’s incredibly rewarding to see a project I’ve worked on come to life. When I first walked into our Nisi villa, I thought, ‘Wow, I can’t believe this is ours.’ It’s a slice of paradise, and it’s just the beginning,” she says. “We have two ongoing constructions at the moment and I’m learning so much about the process. It’s been such an enjoyable and exciting experience working with different teams and turning a vision into a reality.

After a long fertility journey – including eight rounds of IVF and four miscarriages – Chloe and Paul conceived their “miracle” baby naturally on their belated honeymoon in the Maldives in 2023. Bobbi Maree Fisher was born on the June 20, 2024. “Bobbi is already such a Bali girl,” says Chloe, of her now 10-month-old daughter. “She especially loves the sunken lounge area inside our villa, and – of course – the pool.”
In Bali, that base is Nisí Villas in Bingin, on the south coast. It’s a place the couple manifested. Three years ago, while in Bali, the couple were talking about finding an investment property on the island. The next day, Chloe met property developer Nicole Riley at the Bali Training Centre gym in Bingin. As luck – or the universe – would have it, Nicole was building a collective of villas just down the road. “As soon as we visited the site, Paul knew it was the spot, our spot. We trusted his gut feeling,” says Chloe, a businesswoman, model and co-founder of the Darling, Shine! podcast.
As well as being where they met, married and mourned, Bali is also where Chloe and Paul first holidayed with Bobbi last year. “We planted a pink frangipani in the garden and now it’s Bobbi’s frangipani,” says Chloe, who’s fast becoming a force in property development.
Nisi is part of the Fishers’ growing portfolio, and it marks a shift in Chloe’s business ventures. Her biggest project to date is the soon-to-be revealed Pescado in Gold Coast’s Palm Beach featuring six single-floor apartments and their own penthouse. Sales will open in May under their business YLB (You Little Beauty) Properties. The business is named after Paul’s 2019 single, and pescado is Spanish for fish. See? Thoughtful.

Every aspect of the property has been thoughtfully curated. As well as the luxury interiors, guests can enjoy a personal butler, a buggy transport service, in-villa massages and highly recommended nannies. “It’s definitely been built with families in mind,” says Chloe. “Which is fitting for the stage of life we’re in.”
“I can’t wait to show Bobbi the properties we’ve created and put our mark on. I hope she thinks it’s cool! All I want is to make her proud,” says Chloe, pausing mid-sentence. “Oh my God, there’s a turtle swimming in the ocean. I’ve never seen one here before. It’s beautiful.”
In Balinese culture, turtles signify good luck and divinity. How fitting for a story about a place that brought two people together, a property that was manifested, and a baby that was destined to be.

EAT
“Bali is my favourite place to eat in the world. A big call, I know. The restaurant scene in Bingin and Uluwatu is ridiculously good, and a standout is the Japanese eatery Yuki. I dream about the wagyu beef sando and the tuna sashimi.
SIP
“Straight across the road from Nisi Villas is a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop called Beige. Our morning routine starts with a short walk to Beige, carrying our custom-made ceramic cups from Nisi, to get our caffeine fix.”
CHEERS
“The only thing more spectacular than a sunset at Ulu Cliffhouse is a sunset at Ulu Cliffhouse with a chilled red wine in hand. It’s an iconic spot with a postcard perfect view. Cheers to that.”
SWEAT
“Nothing beats a workout at Bali Training Centre in Bingin. The gym offers functional fitness, kettlebells and Muay Thai classes – and it’s connected to the brilliant Cashew Tree cafe. Come for the endorphins, stay for the fresh coconuts.”
SHOP
“If you’re looking for me and Ellidy [Pullin, her podcast co-founder], you’ll probably find us at the Elce Swim store stocking up on beachwear, or the Fae boutique adding to our bikini collections.”
INDULGE“A massage a day keeps the blues away. Spring Spa Uluwatu do a dreamy massage, and Fields of Yarrow do the best gua sha facial you’ll ever have. Go on, treat yourself. Tell them Chloe sent you.”
