Mining
Mining provides computing power to validate transactions and to generate blocks as part of the so-called proof of work procedure. As consideration, the successful miner - i.e., the block creator - is credited with the corresponding crypto assets.
Mining requires increasing computing power. Therefore, miners often join so-called mining pools.

An airdrop (literally “falling from the air”) is the free distribution of crypto assets to holders or to the public. They are often used as a marketing instrument or for data collection.
Airdrop
Forging rewards users under the so-called proof of stake procedure, for example for the long-term holding of crypto assets; in this way new blocks are created. Certain crypto assets are locked for the user for a defined period (staking). After the lock-up period expires, the staker receives a reward in the form of additional crypto assets.
It is also possible to join a so called staking pool.
Forging/Staking
An ICO is a form of financing based on blockchain technology. Companies raise capital from various investors via platforms - as with crowdfunding or crowdinvesting - in the form of crypto assets or fiat currency. Unlike an initial public offering (IPO), an investor in an ICO does not receive shares in the company, but crypto assets that can have different functions depending on their design.
Initial Coin Offerings (ICO)
The process denotes the fork or split of crypto assets. A split or fork can occur when the protocol of the underlying blockchain is changed, e.g., to add new functions or to fix security vulnerabilities.
Since crypto assets are largely based on the so called open source idea, the protocol can in principle be viewed, downloaded and modified by anyone.
Fork (auch Split)
Crypto assets are made available for use against remuneration, a so-called crypto-based loan. The transactions are usually executed via dedicated platforms.

Simply put, a masternode is a special node with additional tasks in the blockchain network.
Nodes are typically used to participate in the decision-making processes of blockchains and to exercise voting rights. Operators of such nodes receive their rewards in the form of crypto assets.
