BDO Horizons
BDO’s quarterly global
mid-market M&A review
Welcome to this year’s third issue of Horizons, which continues seeing strong and stable M&A activity despite the ever growing list of negative factors including rising inflation, energy supply concerns, war in Ukraine, people and raw materials shortages and higher interest rates. Private Equity has continued to make up a larger proportion of completed deals at levels that are higher to pre-COVID, both in volume and value. North America continues taking the largest share of deal activity, followed by China which has started growing its share of the total global volume, probably following the easing of lock downs.
This issue brings you up to date commentary on deal activity levels and how we see the market in the next few months. We zoom in on our usual regions and on the TMT, Natural Resources and Building Products sectors. And as always, we have a plethora of heat charts showing potential M&A activity in
the next few months.
