Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, consumers have been purchasing personal protective equipment
(PPE) at a staggering rate. Heightened demand for
PPE has resulted in nationwide shortages—a critical issue for frontline health professionals and other essential workers
who need protective equipment to stay safe.
The Problem
TSG Resolute, a manufacturer that specializes in die cutting, metal fabrication, plastic extrusion and robotic assembly, pivoted their production to help reduce the PPE shortage. They shifted to producing full face masks, half face shields and sneeze guards, and are now primarily fulfilling orders for the healthcare industry. They are producing about 65,000 face shields per day and, since mid-March, have produced face
shields equivalent to over
$1 million. They are producing about 65,000 face shields
per day, with an estimated
1 million produced since
pivoting production in March.
