BETX Code of Conduct, Terms and Conditions

Revised: April 10, 2025 It is vital to Black Entertainment Television LLC (“BET”) that all BET events are a safe place for all attendees and guests. People who do not comply with this Code of Conduct may be removed and not allowed to return for the duration of the event. CODE OF CONDUCT By registering to attend a BET Experience event, you hereby agree to the following: ACCESS All attendee credentials, including, but not limited to, BET Experience tickets and wristbands, are non-transferable and are required for attendance to all official BET events. All BET events have limited capacity, so even though your credentials are required to access all activities, they do not guarantee you access to any activity if it has reached its capacity. HARASSMENT Disorderly conduct and harassment may include, but isn’t limited to, any behavior that is illegal, unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory, or causes discomfort to any of our attendees, staff or guests. STAFF INSTRUCTIONS AND COMPLIANCE WITH LAW All BET event ticket holders must adhere to the instructions of all BET employees, staff, designees and agents, including but not limited to all BET Experience location and security employees and agents, and any and all law enforcement personnel. Attendees of BET events agree to observe and comply with any and all applicable policies, rules, and regulations of the applicable location and venue. BET or its designees may, without refund (if applicable), revoke this license to enter BET events or refuse admission for failure to observe and comply with any and all applicable policies, rules, and regulations of the applicable location and venue as determined by BET and/or the applicable location and venue. Attendees of BET events agree to observe and comply with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations of the Government of the United States, State of California, County of Los Angeles, and the City of Los Angeles. PROHIBITIONS Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances, weapons, and items that can be mistaken as weapons are expressly prohibited. Large backpacks are not allowed. All bags and containers are subject to search and may be prohibited. Unlawful sale or attempted sale of BET event credentials, including tickets and wristbands, will result in the revocation of those credentials without refund. MINORS Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or adult supervisor at all times during BET Experience events. Parents, legal guardians, or adult supervisors of minors are responsible for the actions of minors they are supervising. Minors may be prohibited from certain areas at BET Experience events. CONSENT TO RECORDING You consent to the audio, photo, and/or video recording of your name, voice, likeness, appearance, actions, and any other personal characteristics at the BET events, in whole or in part, in any and all media for any purpose, including advertising and promotional purposes, worldwide in perpetuity without receiving any additional compensation. ATTENDEE VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISKS, HAZARDS AND DANGERS AND WAIVES RIGHT TO SUE You assume any and all risks occurring before, during, or after any BET event. You release BET, Paramount Global, and the applicable event locations and venues and their agents, licensees, assignees, employees, and their respective affiliates and representatives from any and all claims or causes of action arising from or related to BET events. BET is not responsible for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind including, without limitation, claims for any injury, illness, damage, loss or harm to me or my property, or my death arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from attendance and/or participation in the event. You acknowledge that there is a possibility that you may discover facts or incur or suffer claims which were unknown or unsuspected at this time, and which if known by you, may have materially affected your decision to attend and/or participate in the event. You acknowledge and agree that you are assuming any risk of such unknown facts and such unknown and unsuspected claims. You have been advised of the existence of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code, which provides: “A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE, AND THAT IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY.” Notwithstanding such provisions, this release shall constitute a full release in accordance with its terms. You knowingly and voluntarily waive the provisions of Section 1542, as well as any other statute, law, or rule of similar effect, and acknowledge and agree that this waiver is an essential and material term of this release, and without such waiver you would not have been permitted to register for, attend and/or participate in the event. You hereby represent that you acknowledge and understand YOU ARE RELEASING AND WAIVING CERTAIN POTENTIAL RIGHTS HELD BY YOU under Section 1542 and other such laws. EVENT CANCELLATION BET reserves the right, for any reason and in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend or discontinue the event without prior notice. SUBJECT TO CHANGE BET reserves the right to change or modify any policy or rule at any time and without notice.
