In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, children’s music has become a saving grace for harried parents — and one of the industry’s growth areas. Prior to Billboard’s April modification of its methodology for counting on-demand video streams, children’s music streaming was up 15% in the first few weeks of virus-related lockdowns in the United States, and Disney’s playlists have grown by as much as 1 million streams per day.
