Dexcom sought to transform their 12,000-square-foot L1 Towers conferencing center into a dynamic, versatile, and welcoming environment. With a post-pandemic shift in workplace culture, the objective was to create a space that not only fostered productivity and collaboration but also provided a hospitality-inspired atmosphere to encourage employees to return to the office. bkm OfficeWorks led the project in collaboration with DPR Construction, MANSOUR Architecture, and Augustine Design Group, providing a comprehensive range of solutions encompassing furniture, design, Fringe services, and interior architecture.

Dexcom needed to reimagine the conferencing center to meet modern work style demands, aiming for a flexible, employee-centric space that would attract employees back for in-person collaboration and engagement. The company wanted a space that could effortlessly transition between formal meetings, casual discussions, and social gatherings, all while reflecting a modern and hospitality-driven design.

The renovated L1 Towers Conferencing Center now serves as a state-of-the-art, multifunctional hub that successfully blends hospitality-driven aesthetics with practical functionality. The integration of Fringe elements and flexible space solutions resulted in a design that encourages employees to return to the office, fostering a culture of connection, collaboration, and engagement. The transformation supports varied work modes and social interactions, making it a preferred destination for Dexcom’s employees.
To address these challenges, bkm OfficeWorks crafted a solution that integrated functional design with aesthetic enhancements:
Furniture and Flexible Lounge Settings: The space was equipped with adaptable furniture to support various uses, from focused training sessions to casual meetings. Configurable lounge settings allowed for different arrangements based on specific needs, making the space highly versatile.
Interior Architecture Solutions: The implementation of VIA and Privacy Wall systems created semi-private areas for focused work and small meetings while maintaining an open, inviting atmosphere. This approach facilitated both collaborative and individual work styles.

Open Collaboration Areas: Designed to facilitate spontaneous teamwork and informal meetings.
Pre-Function Spaces: Provided areas for guests to mingle before events, adding a layer of hospitality.
Conference and Training Rooms: Equipped with ergonomic furniture to ensure comfort during long sessions.
Boardroom Furnishings: Created a professional atmosphere for high-level discussions.
Breakout Spaces and Huddle Rooms: Offered flexibility for small group interactions and focused meetings.
Speaker Lounge: Provided a dedicated space for guest speakers to prepare and unwind.
Greenery and Feature Walls: The addition of living plants and greenery feature walls brought natural beauty into the center, improving air quality and serving as a visually engaging backdrop. These areas became popular spots for employees to take selfies, adding a playful touch to the environment.
Decorative Lighting: Carefully selected lighting fixtures enhanced the ambiance, making the space feel inviting and refined.
Art and Sculpture: Artistic pieces were chosen to reflect Dexcom's innovative spirit, strategically placed throughout the space to inspire creativity.
