Nearly half of salon professionals surveyed said the topic of thinning hair and hair loss comes up in salon conversation more often than it did a couple of years ago.
Seven out of ten consumers experiencing hair loss said the condition impacts their confidence level.
Nearly eight in ten consumer respondents who said they were not concerned about thinning hair still said they would be “likely” or “very likely” to consider a product or service that could be used now to prevent future hair loss.
Among pros who suggested options to treat thinning hair, 88% said they did so to help solve a problem or improve clients’ satisfaction with their hair.
