A Conversation over a Breakfast for EY
Intimate Networking
A series of exclusive, invite-only roundtable events provided the opportunity for PMI to target thought leaders in specific industries and bring them together to discuss the changes each industry is facing. The roundtable format with catered lunch offered guests a chance to engage and interact, resulting in thoughtful and impactful discussions on change. PMI was able to connect with attendees directly through opening and closing remarks as well as participation in the roundtable discussions.
Our Solution:
Philip Morris International sought an avenue for sparking conversation and making connections between thought leaders from innovative companies across the Greater Boston area.
The Problem:
The Globe Events team collaborated with reporter Shirley Leung and General Manager of Newsroom Initiatives Shira Center to develop the Leadership Lunch Series, an extension of the Globe’s business editorial content. Each virtual event focused on a different emerging topic, from diversity and inclusion to sustainability and entrepreneurship, and convened a panel of relevant experts. UBS reached attendees on an intimate level with opening/closing remarks, an occasional “sponsor spotlight” talking portion, dedicated follow-up emails, and repeat brand awareness.
Our Solution:
UBS was looking to reach Boston’s mid-market business leaders by aligning themselves with groundbreaking journalism around emerging topics in 2020.
The Problem:

A bespoke digital event hub was created to host several assets featuring Little Leaf’s new greenhouse and its lettuce. This flexible format housed a pre-recorded interview led by Globe reporter Janelle Nanos and tour filmed on site at the greenhouse along with fun instructional videos from relevant influencers for cooking and drinking with Little Leaf lettuce at home. Attendees had the ability to engage with all of the content at their convenience, and Little Leaf Farms branding was visible throughout the hub and its assets
Our Solution:
To celebrate its new greenhouse in Devens, Massachusetts, Little Leaf Farms planned to throw a grand opening showcasing its 10 acres of sustainably grown lettuce. Given the limits on large in-person events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this celebration needed to take place virtually while still engaging attendees with an exciting and educational program.
The Problem:

The Globe Events team developed a series of virtual job fairs offering opportunities for candidates to chat with representatives from some of Boston’s top employers. Candidates created job seeker profiles and visited virtual booths to learn about available positions and chat in real time with company representatives. Each of the three job fairs centered around a theme, from full and part time positions to early career development and internships to building diverse and equitable workplaces.
Our Solution:
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Vertex sought a way to bolster the Greater Boston business community by connecting employers seeking talent with those who have experienced difficulty finding work in 2020.

A series of exclusive, invite-only roundtable events provided the opportunity for EY to target New England-based women leaders and bring them together to discuss common challenges, from how they and their companies have effectively utilized technology to setting ESG goals that become part of a collective effort to move the needle. Each roundtable connected 20-25 high-profile leaders virtually from companies including John Hancock, Fidelity Investments, National Grid, Boston Medical Center, Biogen, and more. The leaders were connected via email following the events for future collaboration.
