Nurses have the toughest – and most rewarding – job, from supporting patients navigating illnesses and treatment plans to helping new parents welcome bundles of joy, and everything in between.
Each year, many answer the call to become nurses. And there’s no better place to do so than Boston, an international hub for health care, higher education, and research hospitals. These institutions proudly welcome our region's future healers.
Emmanuel College
For more than 40 years, Emmanuel College has developed compassionate, responsible nurses ready to address a changing health care environment. Through the college’s longstanding partnerships within its Longwood Medical and Academic Area location, students gain clinical experience at the nation’s top hospitals and emerge as well-rounded, in-demand professionals.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program launched in 2019 along with a modern nursing lab in which undergraduate students are exposed to high-fidelity, real-world experiences. Graduating its first class in 2023, the BSN program boasts a 93 percent NCLEX pass rate and 100 percent job placement.
The Maureen Murphy Wilkens School of Nursing and Clinical Sciences also offers online RN-to-BSN, Master of Science in Nursing, and graduate certificates, both with tracks in nursing education and nursing administration.
Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Emmanuel’s nursing programs emphasize a curriculum rooted in Catholic values, promoting intellectual inquiry, integrity, justice, and community service.
