Brookfield Properties U.S. retail portfolio was awarded first place in our peer group (USA, Retail Centers) and received Sector Leader status (Regional Non-Listed Sector Leader, Americas Retail) for outstanding performance by global sustainability authority GRESB in its latest assessment.
1,800 local community events
We support our local communities by partnering with schools and local community groups, hosting over 1,800 local events annually, and developing signature events like the Heart Gallery Adoption event, Pink Bag distribution for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and hundreds of blood drives.
65+ new stores
Our Partner to Empower program supports business owners of color in opening brick-and-mortar stores in our retail centers. Since 2023, 260+ businesses have joined the program, completing 280+ hours of retail workshops and leading to 65+ store openings. This program empowers entrepreneurs across the country to grow their businesses.
