As with everything else in our global society, the COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally transformed transportation.
We’ve seen major shifts in how we travel from A to B — people are reluctant to take public transportation and are relying more heavily on their personal vehicles.
Will these trends remain, or will things eventually bounce back to how they were pre-pandemic? How should the transportation industry respond to these new shifts?
Arity, a mobility data and analytics company, studied how the COVID-19 pandemic is influencing driving patterns. Founded by Allstate in 2016, Arity helps businesses adapt successfully by using more than 400 billion miles of historical, aggregated, and anonymized driving data collected from more than 23 million active mobile and vehicle connections.
