Winter sports in Park City
Name a winter sport and you can likely do it in Park City — from classics like snowboarding or skiing to modern experiences like snowbiking or snowmobiling. Located just under an hour from Salt Lake City, it's the perfect athletic getaway in the snowy mountains of Utah. It's also the home of Utah Olympic Park, built in 2002 for the Winter Olympics.
At 42 square miles, Antelope is the largest island on Great Salt Lake, which also happens to be the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere — so yeah, it's a pretty big deal. On your ride, you'll enjoy a large variety of wildlife and plants from the Great Basin region, including a large colony of American Bison.

Made by artist Robert Smithson in 1970, this piece of land art was built during a drought, and subsequently remained submerged until 2004 due to decades of heavy rain and floods. Today, it's visible when water levels are low enough against the iconic, color-changing Great Salt Lake.

To round out your nature experiences in Salt Lake City, visit the city’s famed museum of living plants. At 21 acres, it's the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West. While it's beautiful anytime of the year, Red Butte Garden is known for its springtime display of 450,000 blooming bulbs.

This dish is exactly what you think it is: thinly shaved pastrami sitting atop a juicy beef burger, because what's better than putting more meat on your meat? Some claim this burger was invented in the 1970s by the late Nick Katsanevas, founder of local favorite Crown Burgers. Regardless, it's a must-try dish for all who visit the city.

EAT & DRINK
In terms of national beer consumption, Utah actually ranks last, but according to the Office of Tourism: "While Utahns don't drink much, we do drink well." With awards from national and international competitions, including the Great American Beer Festival, the craft beer scene here is on the rise — so check it out to say you drank here first.
