Dmitry Firtash
Ukrainian billionaire and Yanukovych ally. Worked with Manafort to redevelop the Drake Hotel in Manhattan. Firtash was sued by former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who alleged the project was a money laundering scheme. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed and the project was scrapped.
Irakly "Ike" Kaveladze
A senior executive at the Agalarovs' real estate firm, Crocus Group. He attended the Trump Tower meeting on behalf of the Agalarovs.
Aras and Emin Agalarov
Aras Agalarov is a wealthy Russian real estate developer and his son, Emin, is a Russian pop star. The Trump Tower meeting was arranged at the Agalarovs' request.
Konstantin Kilimnik
Russian-Ukrainian operative with suspected ties to Russian intelligence. Manafort emailed Kilimnik shortly after he was named a strategist for Trump’s campaign in April 2016 asking, "How do we use to get whole?" In July, he emailed Kilimnik again and offered to brief Deripaska on the campaign.
Rinat Akhmetshin
Russian lobbyist and former Soviet military intelligence officer. Akhmetshin was at the Trump Tower meeting with Veselnitskaya, Manafort, Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner.
Viktor Yanukovych
Pro-Russian strongman whom Manafort consulted for beginning in 2004. Manafort is widely credited with helping Yanukovych win Ukraine's 2010 presidential election. Yanukovych was ousted in 2014 and fled to Russia following widespread protests against his Russia-friendly positions and cozy relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Oleg Deripaska
Russian oligarch and close Putin ally. Manafort offered to give Deripaska personal briefings about the 2016 race less than two weeks before Trump accepted the Republican nomination. Sources told Bloomberg that Manafort made the offer, via an intermediary, to resolve a business dispute between himself and Deripaska.
Paul Manafort
Donald Trump's campaign chairman from March 2016 to August 2016. The special counsel Robert Mueller has charged him with 18 counts related to tax fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, failure to register as a foreign agent, and obstruction of justice. He is pleading not guilty to all charges.
Natalia Veselnitskaya
Russian lawyer and lobbyist who has emerged as a central figure in the Russia controversy. She was previously married to Yuri Chaika, Russia's prosecutor general and a known Putin ally. Veselnitskaya arranged for a meeting between herself and top members of the Trump campaign, including Manafort, in June 2016 after claiming she had dirt on Hillary Clinton.
