Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean and Chinese vice-premier Zhang Gaoli engaged in a series of high-level meetings in conjunction with the SIP’s 20th anniversary.The project gained approval from China’s State Council to contribute to the development of the National Demonstration Zones of Independent Innovation in Southern Jiangsu Province.

The China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, the third inter-governmental project between Singapore and China, was launched.

BLOCK71 Suzhou, a technology-focused ecosystem builder and global connector which catalyses and aggregates the startup community, was launched to support overseas tech companies exploring business opportunities in China.
2019
December
The SIP’s developer The China-Singapore SIP Development Group raised 1.36 billion yuan in an IPO.The SIP Attachment Programme was launched, with Singapore officials embarking on study visits annually to the SIP to learn from its experiences.

A*Star Partners’ Centre, a launchpad for Singapore companies to explore growth and R&D opportunities in China via Suzhou Industrial Park, was launched.
2021

The SIP International Business Cooperation Centre (IBCC) was launched in Singapore’s one-north business park, serving as an incubator to facilitate Chinese investments into Singapore.
2023
The Youth Interns Exchange Scheme was launched in Suzhou, allowing youths on both sides to gain overseas working experience and better understand each other’s economy and culture.
2024
February
The second phase development of the SIP IBCC was completed in Singapore’s one-north business park, a floor above its first-phase site.
