To Sabrina, dance is more than a passion, it’s a way of life. Her life is a blur of colour and dance, but it wasn’t always that way. Learning English as a teenager transformed her life and took her to places she never imagined would be possible.

Sabrina's story
"Fifteen years ago I thought I was going to learn English to work in a large company, but then I was able to go beyond that and use English in a way that suits me."
“I use English in a way that makes me proud, makes my mum proud and above all, makes me happy!”
Despite growing up with very little, Sabrina received a scholarship to study on an English course, as a present from her mother, for her 15th birthday. She went on to spend four years at Cultura Inglesa Madureira, a traditional school in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro.
Alongside her studies Sabrina continued to dance and, in 2018, launched #Gingatour. Learning English allowed her to expand her career far beyond the borders of Brazil and show the world what her culture is all about.
Sabrina dreams of one day starting her own English language project. She wants her friends and students to be able to obtain the language tools that could enable them to embark on the same journey she did; travelling the world, taking in other cultures and learning from professionals she otherwise never would have met.
